Beautiful new house set in a peaceful private meadow. Watch deer, wild turkeys, hummingbirds, bald eagles and much more from the spacious back porch. Play ping pong in the family room or build a fire outside in the firepit and watch the stars at night. Hike local trails, relax by Sherman's Creek, visit Hershey Park, Carlisle car shows or the lake at Little Buffalo State Park. Local antique venues are nearby and nationally known. I stayed at the Owl House to go to the Corvettes at Carlisle show. My stay couldn’t have been better with the comfortable accommodations, which provided everything I needed and more. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped, the TV and WiFi were great, and the back porch allowed time for quiet reflection and watching wildlife. The house was about 25-minutes from Carlisle, which worked out great. I also went to Little Buffalo State Park for a hike and some time in the woods. Lynne was excellent at communicating and making sure that I had everything I needed. The house is very nice and even smells like it is brand new. I loved this house and quiet location.

Relaxing

We had an amazing stay. We attended the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle and it was peaceful to return to the cabin each evening for a relaxing time. My son-in-law and grandsons, along with a friend from high school, were together. We loved this place! Communication with the owner was great. I highly suggest staying here.

Soooo cute!

The house was just as it was listed but the pictures don't do it justice. Mom and I walked around the house when we got there taking in all the art work. My great grandma loved owls so it was like she was with us during our stay. Landisburg is where she raised her family and grandchildren. The house was lovingly decorated as well. Our host was very thoughtful. The back porch view was amazing and my mom loved watching the birds.

We had a great weekend! The house was exactly what we needed and more. The hosts were great to work with. We had a conference in the area and the house worked out perfectly. It's a great place for a family getaway as well.

Peaceful retreat

The Owl House was a perfect little retreat for my friend and I who were in town for our high school reunion. After fun, but long, hours of socializing, it was so nice to pull into the driveway and slip into the quiet of the country setting. The house was spacious, clean and well appointed, exactly as described.

Rest and Relax

Visiting family for weekend. House is wonderful. Friends and family came over and we sat on deck, watched hummingbirds feeding, young deer, young bear ran through side yard. Very clean. Many extras for guests we don’t usually find in VRBO rentals. Unique fun decor. Will stay here again.

Family Birthday Trip

We were visiting the area for my brother-in-laws 50th birthday. There are very few options for lodging in this area, so this adorable little house was a pleasant surprise. Very close to where we needed to be, but secluded from just about everything else. Our flights from California were a mess, this cute little house was very inviting and comfortable. We couldn't wait to take a nap! The hummingbirds, lightening bugs & nature were beautiful. We would definitely visit again and recommend it to everyone!
