Work stay at EagleSong Cottage
I had a work trip to south Whidbey Island and originally booked the cabin for two nights. It was just perfect for my needs, and a beautiful location to boot. As soon as I stepped out of the car on my arrival I heard the eagles in the trees towards the water! I had an issue with the internet, but my concerns were addressed via text contact promptly, and I got it figured out. I needed to extend my stay by another night, and was able to speak with someone on the phone to do that seamlessly. Finally, I got locked out on my last night there, at about 9 o'clock at night, but there were live people on the phone to answer my calls immediately, and I was inside within about ten minutes. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable - very well appointed. I only wish I hadn't been working so I could have had time during daylight hours to explore down by the water.

Small Studio
Perfect for one, or a couple. Kitchen with basic equipment and a washer/dryer. Peek able water views through the trees in the front yard from the living area and front porch. Approximately 12 minute drive into Langley which has several great restaurants and a brewery and great water front views. This was a perfect place for me. Will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful, small space for one person or a couple. It’s in a wonderful location and feels very peaceful. The only feedback I would have is to actually have a table and chairs so you can sit down for meals.

Two night stay
Got off to a rough start because the alarm was set, and no code was provided to turn it off. It took four hours for us to get the code to turn off alarm. The home is not furnished as shown in ad. There is simply a bed and two seat sofa and coffee table. It could use another chair, and somewhere to hang coats. All said, we would stay here again, it is a very quiet, and convenient location. Also, the neighbourhood deer are very friendly.

This is a beautiful property. Deer all over, eagles, ocean view. Very easy process. Quiet neighborhood. We just needed small things like salt and pepper! But it was truely an amazing stay!

Well equipped cottage. A bit over stuffed with furniture and knickknacks. Hard to find a surface to put our stuff on but lovely setting. I would not recommend for more than 2 people.

Beautiful place - old furnishings
The place is really adorable and well made. The location is pretty nice, though the trees and bushes should be cut in front so you can see the water from the house. Unfortunately, there is nothing comfortable in the place. The bed is absolutely awful! The couch and chairs are also old and very uncomfortable. Tv is literally a 15 inch, with no sound bar. This place really has the potential to be amazing but all furnishings need to be upgraded. You can buy a really good quality foam or hybrid mattress on Amazon for $300 so to me it’s unacceptable that this wasn’t the first purchase. We left at 8am the first night instead of staying for the duration of our stay. Really unfortunate as this was a trip I had planned for my husbands birthday.

Tiny House Magic
The minute you pull into the driveway you can tell that this place is special. I loved waking up each day to deer in the yard, birds chirping, and just the extraordinary green and blue landscape that Whidbey has to offer. It was a perfectly livable space but, as with any review, there are areas of improvement. First, the lockbox. I know this may be a simple thing for most but I have nerve damage in my thumb. I physically couldn’t push the button on the left and pull down the panel with my other hand. If you have any issues with your hand(s), you should probably reach out before arrival. Second, I arrived on a beautiful sunny day only to find that the power was out! The reason PSE gave was vegetation. The final step you do at check out is to drop the temp to 59, so I went into a cold, dark house, put my groceries into the freezer and hoped the power to come back. It would’ve been nice if there had been flashlights, blankets, maybe some warm hands, and frozen ice packs on the fridge (that don’t leak) to ease the stress of a full day of travel. Luckily, power was restored at 1am PST. Third, the pics are great however, a couch has been added to the mix. It simply doesn’t fit in the space. When I arrived the bed was already down and I could barely navigate around all the furniture, let alone find somewhere for my luggage. I ended up having to move and unplug items just to have space to charge my phone. The house has a lot of unique items in it, but the bottom line is that you have to find a way to create space for your stuff because every possible surface and floor space is covered. The biggest, uh-oh, was under the bed. As mentioned, when I arrived it was already down, which was lovely because I could crawl into a warm place. The next morning I was looking for a creative place to stow my stuff and thought of under the bed as a possibility. When I looked it was covered in dust! To the point, that I’m not sure when it was last cleaned (I have a picture); my luggage did not go under the bed, nor did I change it to the table. Another positive, the food options in Langley! I was blown away by the variety and quality of food! All in all, it’s a lovely place to be, great views, good walks (I don’t recommend going on the pier, as it is gone), cozy, good shower, coffee makers galore, perfect appliances; it was just those final details. So, grab that extra parka, flashlight, swiffer, and plan on parkouring down a pier and you’re set!

Great place, great stay once we were able to get in . We were sent the code to get in on January 26. We were on the Island January 26 so did not receive the email. We don't have smart phones. It was getting dark and very cold. (38 degrees) We were finally able to reach someone at Vascasa who was able to get he code. She was very helpful. A suggestion to the owners would be to provide a coat rack and maybe some drawers for clothing..

I used this as a weekend escape from my work—as I work from home, it’s hard to truly get away unless you physically remove yourself. This cottage was simply perfect for my needs, and I look forward to my next stay!

Clean, as noted by others. Furnishings are inappropriate to the construction, almost as if the owner was using it as a storage unit. We get that they’re family ‘heirlooms,’ but not so good for their guests. Back to the good: whirlpool tub is outstanding! Excellent jet action — my wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Good appliances, although the pots & pans sorely need to be replaced with decent cookware, as are the implements. Very nice dishes, yet no wine glasses nor bottle opener. Great Weber grill, but igniter is broken. Hmmm. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay — just trying to be helpful to the owner and/or property manager.

The view from the deck and from the living room / bedroom is heavenly. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. There are deer constantly visiting the yard which adds to the magic of this place. The town is only a 10-minute drive away and they have restaurants/cafes, gift shops and a movie theater. The only recommendation is to inform travelers re: the alarm system.

This tiny house is beautiful big space with tall ceilings. Very comfortable with all needed amenities. Wonderful porch, and it’s fun to be able to see the water. Easy drive into Langley. Some new fluffier pillows would be a welcomed addition as the current ones are on the harder side of pillow quality.

Nice place / check in Communication process needs review
Beautiful location with lots of wildlife in area. House was clean and included a full kitchen. The check in process communication missed a key detail regarding necessary steps to check in and that led to a stressful check in. Some better drinking/wine glasses and a small dining table with chairs could make this place even more comfy. Bed was super comfy and outdoor porches wonderful.

Lost opportunity
This tiny home is a lovely structure in an ideal location. Unfortunately all of the furnishings are a combination of grandma's leftovers and garage sale rejects. There wasn't a single surface for a suitcase. I used a piano bench - not sure why an old piano is being stored there. The single bedside table was cluttered with a granny's lamp and clock without access to sockets for digital devices. The utensils were so old that there was not a single knife sharp enough to cut a tomato and I would have liked more than one glass that was not plastic. The furniture was old and musty without comfort. It was so sad since the structure and property is lovely but the furniture is old and creepy without charm.

Just Right
As described, this small studio is sparkling clean and cozy. I will definitely stay here again. High ceilings and wonderful windows give the house a much larger feel, and the light inside is remarkable. New blankets would be nice - or a good-quality comforter. Otherwise, the rental was just right for me.

Great Thanksgiving Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving. It was the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Cute space with plenty of room to do our cooking, very well laid out. Would live in a place like this in a heartbeat if we could. The only downside was local TV channels were not available on the TV, which was a disappointment for the yearly Thanksgiving football tradition. But the internet worked great, and I had brought my laptop so we were able to stream all the games through wifi. With that being said, watching TV wouldn't be a priority with so many things to do out and about, and wouldn't have been an issue if it was a different time of year, and shouldn't be an issue for anyone else who books this charming property! Just might be our new Thanksgiving tradition!

TV issues
The cable tv had 2 wires disconnected. It was a real pain trying to determine the problem and watching tv after a long day. Instructions did not work properly. It always deferred to “locate remote” which did not work in any fashion from the remote. Forced to go to the box press locate remote and let it run it’s course befor tv was available. One night channel Chang would not work. Forced to watch FOX for 3 hours in the evening. No phone numbers on the emailed instructions. Difficult

Peaceful retreat!
My husband gave me the “weekend off” and so I found a little bit of peace and tranquility in this little red cabin! It was super clean and private and quiet! I loved the fact that there was a piano to play (a huge reason why I booked this place). The deer greet you at the front door sometimes! It’s just a five minute walk to the beach, but make sure you bring your own food and coffee for the morning because Langley is a 10-15 minute drive away! And if you’re lucky to run into him, the neighbor is very nice to chat with. ;) The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I think the hot water tank was on a limiter and it never got hot enough for a really satisfying hot shower....and it would have been really great to have a fireplace (being there at the end of January). Overall a super cute place!

Sweet Little Getaway
Adorable house with a Murphy bed and gorgeous deck. We loved the deer families that came to visit, the bunnies, and watching the birds. The house was clean and had all the extra stuff that one may need in a kitchen. The beach and dock were a great bonus. Would visit again.

Lovely and simple
The house is not as tiny as a 'tiny house.' Very basic amenities-- but clean and comfortable. There are neighboring houses pretty close-- but there was no one in either house during our stay, so we weren't bothered by people or noise. The bed was comfortable-- but could have used a more substantial comforter/ blankets.
