「We had a great stay at the Funky Turtle. The house was clean and just enough space for my family of 5. The house is close to campground bathrooms if the occasional extra bathroom is needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, use of the grill, and sitting on the porch. Our only complaint is about the noise but it was clear from the map that the campground was located near an interstate. 「This place offers very clean private secure property that makes you feel like your up in Michigan with the ease and access of the local shopping and food options and Lake Michigan beaches walking distance from the home.. oh and throw in a hot tub for relaxation .. this place offers everything you need if your staying in the area.」

「We stayed here a couple nights as part of a long road trip. Our kids enjoyed the sand volleyball, playground and mini golf ($2). We enjoyed the great weather, grilling by the water and convenience of a kitchen! In addition to the provided bathroom, there are multiple nearby camp style bath houses that are clean. The camper itself is older but maintained; there are pots & pans, plates etc.」

「Three weeks later tries to say we didn't pay when we have emails/proof saying otherwise. We checked in at the time, and some guy just comes in the backdoor with towels. Upon checkout, says we didn't leave the key & they had to get a locksmith - we literally saw someone come in with a key (man with towels at check in). Scary neighborhood, misleading advertising, terrible communication. 」

「While it is a good size house, dining table only seats six and comfort of furniture could stand to be improved. The towels were poor and not enough, and there wasn’t enough kitchen dishes, glasses or silverware for 9 people. 」

「The area is quiet and the apartment is close to a dog park which is open to non-residents. There is a paved walkway right by the park that’s nice so I was able to walk my dog in the morning. The property manager immediately replied to any questions I had and the apartment was fully stocked in the kitchen, etc. I booked this because of the cost. I was in town to see the Indiana Dunes. I would stay here again.」
