"This was by far the most unique, amazing hotel we stayed at on the island of Crete. Upon arrival we were given fresh-squeezed lemonade made from their own lemon trees. The staff was so friendly! The building is over 500 years old, and nothing like I've ever seen before. The suite we got was huge, (living room, full kitchen, dining room, and bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs). "We would not recommend this house at all. It’s actually two separate areas and not connected. When we first arrived we went into front apartment and discovered where was no AC in living area /kitchen and was so hot at 9pm when we arrived we could not sit in there. "Excellent property with one bedroom and bathroom in an annexe. More than enough balcony and solarium areas. The pool was larger than expected. Overall a lovely property. The only improvements would be baking trays or ceramic dishes for cooking and the bathrooms need updating, especially the main bathroom as it’s door does not open/close properly and is a risk with children. "The villa is part of a small collection of villas and bungalows in a quiet location, with a nice pool. There is a village nearby with shops and tavernas. The property manager, Effie, was responsive and helpful. When we arrived we found there was an issue with the villa that we had booked, which Effie resolved quickly by upgrading us. The property was generally clean but some maintenance is required."

"Perfect view of sea and mountains off the beaten track. Bit tricky to find but well worth it. The villa had everything you need and the manager responded to queries very quickly over WhatsApp . It was lovely waking up to the sound of the sheep and goats running past with their little bells. A car is a must and there’s lots to do in surrounding areas. Such a lovely holiday"
