Room was very musty and dank. Bed linen not clean. The gentleman at reception was very helpful and apologetic. On the other hand, the waitress in the restaurant was impatient and rude. We did not stay for dinner.

nice staff but the unit we were allocated had airon right over the bed which was bad for us. they refunded us and we went elsewhere. staff were very pleasant.

Friendly, lovely staff. Easy free parking. Every time someone in a room next to us flushed the toilet the noise rang through our room 110 like a train. Crazy. Shower noise also. Dental floss on toilet seat on arrival, not a good start. Are dinner at adjoing restaurant and was excellent. Bright light shone through gap above and below the door at night.

The property needs a really good update. I understand the theme is colonial but the rooms are very outdated and new furniture and bathroom wouldn’t go astray. They aren’t the dirtiest place I’ve stayed at but they do need to be cleaned better. If you struggle with stairs, advise upon booking cause we struggled with taking our luggage to our room. There are no lifts snd no offer to assist. Location was is was good, we walked to dinner at night.

The room & bed were comfortable & room was relatively quiet. Staff were lovely, polite & helpful. Although the property is lovely in many respects it is looking a bit tired & slightly shabby. The buffet breakfast lets the venue down as well. Whilst we understand it can be difficult to manage quantities & demand, there wasn't much in the way of options for the full breakfast. Unfortunately most of the offerings were luke warm & either a bit dried out or spongy. We would recommend going to another venue for breakfast. Sorry, hate to give negative feedback, but in the interest of improvement I am.

Hotel was dated and room wasn’t in the best condition. Listed as 4.5 stars but definitely did not live up to that! The room smelt musty and wasn’t very clean. Bed was comfortable and hotel was accessible and walkable to many things.

We didn’t stay. The “family room” is for midgets. The room was divided by an old heavy curtain. The room smelt musty and old. The size of the room was tiny - not good for claustrophobic people. Depressing to say the least. The pictures are very deceiving. Glad they refunded me immediately. Lovely new girl on reception.

I had booked for three people and requested three beds. When we arrived, we were told our room booking had changed on their system. We were told our new room had a double bed and a single. We did request this to be changed as the system error was not our fault. Also one of my friend's was pregnant so we wanted her stay to be comfortable. We were offered a trundle bed. Later we found out, that a local airline had cancelled a flight so the hotel had accepted a lot of unexpected guests who needed a place to stay. The receptionist was lovely and tried to come up with a solution. But it was still annoying as we had paid for three beds.

Cute village-style accommodation with 1880s era buildings. Great proximity to Launceston’s nightlife and cafes. You can hear the church bells every 30 mins. Our room was very comfortable, with everything we needed.
