Dukes Cabin at Gilbert Lake is the perfect location for your Cooperstown getaway. The main entrance to the beautiful 1,500 acre Gilbert Lake state park is right next door, where you can lay on the sandy beach, swim in the lake, kayak, or hike the many trails. The property is 20-25 minutes to Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame/ Dreams Park) and 15 minutes to Oneonta.

Newly renovated in 2021, the cabin has an open floor plan brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, new bathroom, and brand new comfortable bedding. Hi speed WiFi, landline phone, and Sling TV provided with over 30 major channels.

From the front deck you can listen to nature, and sometimes the stream that runs along the front of the property. Dining set on the back deck let’s you enjoy outdoor meals (BBQ also provided for cooking).

Wonderful Cabin

Loved the cabin and the location. Our son played at ASV and it was a short beautiful drive to and from. The cabin was perfect for my husband and I. Clean and comfortable; I would highly recommend!

Great Cabin

Great place to stay. We were in town for Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament. Loved how quiet the area was. Listing is 100% accurate no surprises. Communication with just was easy and super responsive. Would love to come back again.

We stayed at Duke's Cabin during Week 1 of Cooperstown All Star Village, and it was absolutely perfect for our family! The cabin sits right in front of a peaceful creek, which made for the most relaxing mornings sipping coffee on the front porch.The drive to All Star Village was an easy 13 minutes, and we loved the scenic route filled with wildlife—deer, beavers, rabbits, and chipmunks kept us entertained every day. It became a fun car ride to count how many we spotted between the cabin and the field!If you're looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway close to the action of Cooperstown/All Star Village, Duke's Cabin is a gem. We’d definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place in the remote woods!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and cozy and looks more updated in-person than on the pictures. I would definitely recommend it!

The place itself was okay. The location is good if you’re looking for a remote place to stay. The cabin tho was very dirty and even the sheets had hair and other stuff on them.

Clean, Cozy & Convenient Cabin for Cooperstown

My wife and I stayed at Duke’s Cabin while our son was at All-Star Village for the Cooperstown tournament. The cabin was quiet and secluded, while being only 15-minutes away from All-Star Village where our son was playing/staying and 28-min from Downtown Cooperstown. My wife enjoyed reading on the front porch, we grilled out in the back and sat on the patio. Reliable Wi-Fi allowed us to relax and watch movies and baseball at night on the flat screen. Everything was clean and well appointed. 15-second drive to Gilbert Lake where my wife paddle boarded and I got some time to fish. Can’t recommend this cabin enough.

Hidden Gem

The household was just bug enough for our needs. Clean, well apportioned and close to Gilbert Lake State Park, a hidden gem. We enjoyed seeing deer at dawn and dusk. The weather was a welcomed change from the FL heat and it was close to everything we came to do.

Sweet little cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this great little cabin. Clean and comfortable. Loved how close it is to Gilbert Lake State Park. Only issue for us was no pets rule and that might prevent us from renting in the future.

Duke’s cabin is close enough but also far enough from the Allstar Village to really enjoy your stay. We loved it. Clean, quiet, dark (at night), and remote. I highly recommend!

Great time!

The cabin was so cute! Off the road and very quiet. We LOVED Gilbert Lake state park and the cabin was right there! Cell Reception was bad but the Wi-Fi worked.

A Perfect Cabin for Cooperstown

We really enjoyed our stay at Duke's Cabin during our recent trip to the Cooperstown Allstar Village Experience! It was 15-20 minutes away from the park tucked back in the woods that offered peace and quiet to relax after long days of baseball. The cabin was clean and offered all the things we needed for our stay.

Dukes Cabin

We stayed at Dukes cabin for week 6 at the Cooperstown ASV. Absolutely perfect place to unwind after a long day at the ASV. Dukes Cabin was exactly as described, perfect location (12 mins from ASV) and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, quiet cabin in the woods. Thanks again to the host!

Beautiful Cabin in Remote Quiet Location

Absolutely beautiful cabin located in very quiet off the path remote location. Very close to gorgeous park / lake area which was incredibly nice to visit. The owners are super responsive and helpful. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities. The bathroom is a little tight on counter space but if this is my only complaint... it's a light one... would definitely come back again. Although we were here for Cooperstown and didn't get as much time to enjoy the outdoors aspect of the location, I would come back again to fish, swim, canoe, hike and more...

Cleanest cottage

Joe was great from the first initial contact, Joe gave us great recommendations at the Hawkeye grill, would highly recommend eating there. We could tell from the minute we step foot in the cabin that Joe takes very good care Of his property. I would like to know what else Joe has available for property .We will definitely like to come back. Joe great job!!!

Wonderful Week at Duke's Cabin for Cooperstown Tournament

We had a terrific stay at Duke's Cabin while my son played at Cooperstown All Star Village for the week. It was a short commute to the games and just down the road from beautiful Lake Gilbert State Park. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and cozy! We used the BBQ and enjoyed a couple of meals out on the deck. The kitchen has all the essential pots, pans and dishware, but make sure to bring your own cooking oil, coffee and condiments! Owner was prompt to respond when we had a concern. Would definitely recommend!
