「Acerenza is een meer dan 2000 jaar oud stadje gelegen op een bergtop van meer dan 800 m hoog met in het centrum een Romaanse kathedraal. Het huis ligt in één van de smalle stegen dichtbij een parkeerplaats van dit stadje. Het pand is oeroud, maar totaal gerenoveerd. De overwelfde slaapkamer bevindt zich op een lager niveau dan de woonkeuken, waardoor die heerlijk koel blijft.
