Great place for both people and dogs
We have begun booking stays only at pet friendly locations. This was a beautiful place with a lovely fenced front yard. The stove was set up to start a fire quickly, lots of firewood to keep us warm and simply lovely views through the windows. We were able to go off and explore the surrounding areas easily and there are so many options to choose from. We loved it and may be back one day.

Special place in the Otways
It is a really pretty place to stay and explore the Otways . We had a great time and Parkwood cottage did everything except show us a platapus!! Highly recommend and very dog friendly being so well fenced . Thanks Kim Ray and Rose from Perth

Magical forest retreat
We had a lovely relaxing time in this cosy little cottage. The views from everywindow were breathtaking, the fire (as well as back up heating if you're feeling lazy) kept lovely and warm and soaking in the spa after a days walk was a nice treat. Loved strolling down the property through the rainforest at night to see the glow worms. Our host seemed lovely, we didn't see much of him because the cottage is nice and secluded, but he was very quick to respond to any questions. We would love to come back and highly recommend staying

A nature's lovers dream.
We would highly recommend staying at Parkwood cottage. Very peacful and relaxing. The private rainforest and billabong are a winner. Lots of birds and we were able to see glow-worms. Johanna beach is a short drive away, pet friendly and beautiful. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Kim!

Private and secluded. Spa was lovely. No heating on to welcome our arrival such as a weak reverse cycle which was basically almost had it anyway. No instructions for Coonara use. Took approx 2 hours to get the cabin warm as it was a cold night. No TV reception at times which I followed up with the host but it ittermitently worked. Blocked bathroom basin so we didn't use it. Cleanliness was great, bed comfy and warm, furnishings rustic but too our style if you like that. Allow the Coonara to warm it up first if cold, go out and come back later is my advice. Glow worms were a bonus. Entry and exit from property is a bit hazardous as it's on a bend. Slow right down and indicate.

Quiet cottage in excellent location
We had a wonderful time at this extremely quiet cottage which was set in beautiful forest. Its location suited us very well for doing walks on the Great Ocean Road. It was very convenient to drive 1 kilometre to the town of Lavers Hill where we enjoyed good quality pub food and friendly service at The Otway junction Motor Inn. The only possible down side was the poor TV reception.

My Wife and I had an amazing stay at Parkwood Cottage. A fantastic place for a disconnected holiday with a beautiful setting, ample space to wander on the property and privacy from the primary property. The cabin is furnished with everything you might need for a cozy weekend away with firewood for the firepalce and a split system, suitable TV and lovely spa bath. Only area for improvement is that the little bar fridge really struggled to keep up with us loading it up with a weekend's of snacks and drinks. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A peaceful retreat surrounded by nature
We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at Lavers Hill. The cottage is super comfortable and surrounded by nature which we both loved. A short drive to Johanna beach and also the Otways TreeTops (and Triplet Falls which are also worth seeing). Highly recommend.

Paradise
We absolutely loved staying here! The property is enchanting from the moment you drive in, and the cabin offers the perfect combination of privacy and serenity. Kim is a fantastic host and we are so glad we had the opportunity to stay here and learn more about the area, we will definitely be returning, highly recommended!

Quaint and quiet little getaway
The shack is out the back of the property and you have virtual privacy, meaning the views of the garden are all yours. There's a lovely front door balcony to sit on, and the spa bath soothed away my aches and pains from the day's walks and helped me to feel pampered. Check in was super easy, and while I had no contact with the hosts while I was there I was confident I could contact them about anything, and grateful to know they were also just up the hill.

Perfect weekend away
Thanks very much for the lovely weekend in Lavers Hill. The house is lovely and clean with everything you could need for a cozy weekend away. We also really appreciated that the hosts had built us a fire, ready to be lit when we arrived. The garden is green and beautiful and visited by many little birds. Highly recommended!

Cosy forest cottage
A lovely spot to get away from it all for a couple of nights. We and our dog had a great time hanging out in the safe, fenced yard listening to the birds and by the fire at night. Nice drives to the beach or forest. Not much happening in Lavers Hill but maybe that's the season and COVID!

We stayed with our 2 dogs. They loved the property, exploring the paths and swimming in the billabong. Had a fenced area out front they could happily roam in. It was so Green and serene and beautiful. And in a great location to explore the otways.

Exactly what I wanted. Fire place, spa that looks out onto fern forest, cosy shack with private billabong and glow worms. Bloody unreal. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay! It desperately needs better photos to really show how brilliant it is! Thanks for having us.

Paradise in the Otways
Hard to beat if you are looking for an idyllic retreat away from city bustle – a cosy cottage tucked amongst tall gums, a picturesque billabong and for something extra glow-worms at night. Our host was excellent making certain that we had enough wood for evening fires that warmed us during a cold snap. For a touch of the exotic there is an alpaca enclosure away the front veranda. Day excursions to beachside towns along the Great Ocean Road make this a perfect spot to enjoy this beautiful part of Victoria.

Down by the Billabong
The Billabong is one of the most magnificent things we have ever seen. The bird and insect noises were delightful. The cottage is perfectly situated and our dog had a blast. We did a big shop in Melbourne & cooked our own meals in the perfectly adequate kitchen. Lovely time there.

Beautiful place to stay
My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights and found this the perfect place for a cosy getaway. The cottage had everything we needed and as the weather was cold, we really appreciated the wood fire and spa bath. It was a treat to have a billabong and beautiful scenery just outside our front door. We especially enjoyed bird watching and seeing the glow worms at night! Thanks for a lovely stay

Wonderfully cozy cottage
We were sad to only have one night in this lovely forest. The interior was cozy and comfortable and we particularly appreciated the quality linen and towels. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at Parkwood Cottage. The cottage was cute and cozy and with a fully fenced yard, was perfect for our dog to run freely. We enjoyed checking out the local area also.

More than expected
We were looking for a cosy, quiet, secluded cottage in an enchanted forrest. Not only did we get this all in bucketloads, but also the delightful attention to detail around the cottage, flocks of singing birds, fire worms and a platypus! Highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage
Absolutely loved it. Was stunning and so peaceful. Will definitely be staying again. The creek was so nice to just stand by and listen to the surroundings. The glow worms at night were great to see as well. Cottage itself was pretty and had enclosed area for dogs. Nice to get away and escape for a few days

Great place to stay in Laver’s hill. The small cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway and was in a beautiful location. The short night walk to see the glow worms was a highlight!

Amazing, never felt so relaxed!!
My Lab and I stayed for 3 nights and we had the most amazing time, it's very rare for nothing to go wrong on a getaway, put this one was perfect. My dog loved swimming in the billabong, and the glow worms were a sight to be seen. We also found lots of great on and off lead rainforest walks all with 30 min of cottage. Would absolutely recommend it!!

Just like the photo!
We were so impressed with the cabin setting. Quite private and secluded from the main house. As South Australians we loved the lush green setting, it is such a change from dry landscapes. The cabin was very clean and the spa bathroom sparkled. At night we went down to the lagoon for a second time to see all the glow worms, amazing.
