Beautiful house in a great location for seeing all the area has to offer!
We had a wonderful time at the gite. It is beautifully maintained with everything that you need. Comfy outside furniture and comfy beds! The pool area was very relaxing and quiet. Evelyn and Alain are great hosts and were on hand for anything we needed weather it be a restaurant recommendation or accompanying us to the vets to get our dogs sorted for coming home! We would definetly return(hopefully next year!) and would recommend to families or friends staying together. It is about a 10 minute drive from Gordon which has lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. The are some gorgeous villages to visit within a 45 minutes drive so the location is perfect. Thank you again Evelyn and Alain 😊

2022 Family Holiday
We had a great time at Le Vallonnet Gîte. The house is really nice, well equipped with lovely furnishings and very clean. The location is very quite and the pool and other outside spaces are fantastic. There are also some very comfortable pieces of outdoor furniture. Évelyne and her husband were wonderful, making us really feel at home and answering any questions that we had. We are already planning next year's stay.

Arrived just before Christmas to meet our host Evelyn waiting for us. Easy to check in and see around the house which was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Thanks for making our Christmas and New Years holiday so special. We had everything we needed in this cozy, warm, comfortable house.

Home from home
Everything was first-class. The gite was comfortable, well-equipped and in an idyllic location, with beautiful views over the countryside and utterly peaceful. Our hosts, Evelyne and Alain, were friendly and welcoming and could not have been more helpful. We shall return!

A peaceful and tranquil stay
The gîte is in very quiet and rural surroundings. We were welcomed and introduced to the house by Evelyne who speaks excellent English. The house is equipped and furnished to a very high standard. The kitchen has everything that you need for a short or long term stay. The bedrooms are spacious with good storage space and comfortable beds. This is an excellent rural retreat.

Secret hideaway
This has been a most enjoyable months stay in an idyllic location, the Gite was furnished to a very high standard with all amenities catered for including towels for the pool. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful regarding the Gite itself and in giving us ideas on where to visit and on restaurants in the area. We will be returning for another visit next year.

Idyllic and charming escape from it all!
We have just returned from two heavenly weeks at Le Vallonnet. The location is quite beautiful and the immaculate and well equipped gite is spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished with lovely antiques. The hosts are both attentive and discreet. It is easy to get to and routes to nearby towns generally quiet. There is so much to do locally with Markets, caves, prehistory and stunning villages. For the more energetic the cycling is fantastic with some amazing off-road routes to be found such as along the GR from Le Vigan to Rocamadour. A great day can also be had canoeing down the Dordogne river past lovely sites such as Domme, La Roque Gageac and Beynac. The nearest boulangerie in Le Vigan is less than 3 miles on the bike and the village has all the services you might need- and indeed far more than you would expect of a small village this size. There is also a Spar, a butchers, a veg shop and a couple of bars. The pool at the gite is perfect- partially shaded, and there are plenty of places to relax with a good book or a glass of wine. An evening game of boules can be played on the well constructed court at the bottom of the hill. Having stayed in numerous gites in France over the last 25 years this has easily been the best and we will be coming back! On a scale of 1-10 I would rate it 11! Bruce, Alison and family

Beautiful gite wonderful hospitality
We had wonderful time in Le Vallonnet Gite Residence. The Gite is comfortable, nicely decorated and well-equipped. The ambiance is a peaceful village in a rural community with a beautiful landscape. Mrs. Capdeville is pleasant and cordial and assisted us in any matter required. We plan to come back. Highly recomanded!

Truly “Tranquil in the Greenery”
From the moment we arrived at the turnoff to Cazetou; driving down the bucolic lane leading to Le Vallonnet,; greeted very warmly by Evelyne and Alain; our nine day stay at the Gite was one to remember fondly. Evelyne’s attention to detail makes this converted barn into a lovely cozy home with comfortable beds, bright spacious bathrooms, great kitchen for many cooks, plenty of cooking utensils plus a charcoal weber grill on the terrace. Wonderful outdoor sitting and eating areas. The pool terrace looked inviting ...though the weather did not cooperate for enjoyment of it on this trip. Evelyne and Alain took such good care of us, answering our many questions about the area, tips on best places to purchase regional foods. The location of Le Vallonnet allows easy access to caves, grottes, chateaux. Also, perfect walking lanes with very little traffic. We would come back for a longer stay next visit.
