Late Summer & Fall are superb times to enjoy Charleston Lake - The Park and surrounding areas... The Cottage sits on a rise overlooking the lake - It will accommodate 4-5 guests There is a large deck with screened in sun room that adds to the space. The view is lovely with morning sunrise & views over the lake & toward Blue Mountain . It is nestled into the edge of the trees - The kitchen & bathroom are recently renewed .. Parking for two cars as well as room at the dock for up to a twenty foot boat - Canoe and Kayaks can be rented next door .The added 16 x 12 deck with 10 x 12 screened in sun room adds 120 square feet of out door screened in space WOW !!! Plus the BQQ area just outside the sun room looks over lawns and the lake .. This is a two bedroom space with a good living area.- The second bedroom is efficient and has a bunk bed with a double lower for adults and an upper for luggage or children. - Guests are really enjoying the unique setting and suite .. Charleston Lake Park is a few mins drive away with a great beach - I include a park pass for those who really want that sand beach swim experience as well as the great hiking trails (and they have laundry facilities) . Access at the shore is ideal for canoe / kayak - Small boat ..And "soft bottom swimming" Weeds are kept well away.. The Sunrise Cottage looks over the lake and has sun all day. and stars at night - There is ample area around the cottage which is on a rise up from the shore - An easy walk down to the shared dock The living room has a sofa - chairs and dining area . There is a fabulous coffee shop for breakfast at the end of the lane - And they sell fishing gear and licenses as well as great ice cream .. A boat launch is very near and with arrangements you can park up to an 18 foot boat ..
The surrounding region has a number of hiking trails - The 1000 Islands tour boats are well worth the time - Excellent summer theatre is nearby - Dining is a short drive away. Arriving here is easy just 10 minutes from Highway 401 ..
Smoking can be done outside and under the cover seen in the last two images . The building seen is a summer camp lodge built in 1910 .
