“The apartment itself was excellent - very comfortable with lots of space. Location was great with some excellent restaurants nearby. A place called Do Belo was our favourite and within 5 minutes walk. Staff were brilliant, but the check in process was a bit complicated as we arrived after 8pm. We had to go to the sister hotel to pick up our room keys before going to the hotel itself. “The listing failed to state that an expensive cleaning fee would apply and we were advised of this by the hotel after the cancellation period had ended. This was challenged but the hotel continued to insist that it needed to be paid and that it was advised (despite it not being in the listing or the confirmation email). “The houseboat wasn’t bad but the pictures were not accurate. The pictures appear to have been taken quite a while ado. We couldn’t figure out how to make the projector work. The boat leaned to one side and the patios were much smaller then we had understood. We enjoyed the location because we rented a car to let us enjoy the area around Amsterdam. This rental is more suited for younger renters because it is rather small and not handicapped accessible. The glass shower enclosure needed repair.”
