「This is a super unique place to stay with an amazing view. The breakfast was definitely a highlight for us along with the staff. There is a beach near the property however it is a long walk and a super steep hill. There are no towels or chairs unless you purchase them. There is also no dinner location so without a car it is challenging to get dinner. There is a bus stop near the property but we ended up transporting via taxi. 「From our room,15, the view was spectacular. I could lie in bed and see the sun setting behind Porto Venere. It's an older property but generally well maintained. Staff are like a family and will do everything they can to make your stay a good experience, as long as you are respectful. Maxes, Mario, Francescas, Petro and all the team were warm, friendly and fun. We went in spring and the jasmine was in full fragrance, so lovely. The host was also quite rude and made us feel as though our responsibility was to look after the apartment for the next guests rather than making us feel welcome. 「Hotel is outstanding, it’s over 500 years old and it’s immaculate, food was great, very quiet, first time we have ever stayed in a Palace, room was large with a King bed. My only criticism is that it doesn’t have a true shower. Staff were so polite and accommodating ….we loved the place. Shout out to Lucia who checked us in made us feel so welcome.
