Charming House

As claimed nestled in dunes, but NO sea view -website comments and photos a little misleading. Serene, peaceful, stunning bird life, beautiful dog walks from gate. Must be joyous in high summer. Negatives? : perhaps a touch more shabby than shabby chic. Some refresh decorating needed. Beds need 2 bedside lights. Kitchen freezer full of owner's food not welcoming. All easily remedied - but if charging premium price then need to get details right. Still a charming, welcoming house!

Schlechte Unterkunft in wunderschöner Umgebung

Das Ferienhaus liegt als letztes Haus in der Straße unmittelbar hinter den Dünen und ist umgeben von einem großen Garten mit vielen Bäumen.Das Haus ist renovierungsbedürftig und nicht gut gepflegt. Spinnweben sowie Fliegen (tot und lebendig) und Fliegendreck im ganzen Haus haben uns sehr gestört. Bei unserer Ankunft stank es im ganzen Haus sehr stark nach Fisch und dieser Geruch hat sich viele Tage gehalten. In den Waschbecken befand sich Sand und im Bad gab es Schimmel und Stockflecken. Einige Stühle waren entweder kaputt oder waren so instabil, dass wir sie nicht benutzen konnten. Das Geschirr in den Schränken war teilweise nicht sauber.In einigen Schränken und auch im Kühl- und Gefrierschrank befinden sich Gegenstände bzw. Lebensmittel der Besitzer.Wir haben während der Sommerferien sehr viel Geld für dieses Haus bezahlt und dafür mehr erwartet. Wir werden es nicht mehr buchen.

Grand confort et nature exceptionnelle

Excellentes vacances dans une maison aussi belle dehors que dedans. Tout est prévu pour votre confort. Très beau jardin dans lequel virevoltent des papillons. À peine le portail franchi et vous êtes prêts à partir en randonnée dans les magnifiques dunes d'Hatainville. Idéal pour les amateurs de nature et de grand air.

Ein schönes Haus mit wunderbarer Umgebung/Garten. Der Vermieter sehr unkompliziert und nett. Uns hat es am Rande der Dünen in mitten schöner rauer Natur sehr gut gefallen.

Ein schönes Haus mit großem Grundstück, letztes Haus-Ruhe pur, trotzdem nicht abgeschieden! Ein paar Minuten , zu Fuß dann ein Traumstrand! Benachbarte Kühe stören nicht….vielleicht zu viele Fliegen

Great location and a lovely cabin

We chose this property as its position, as the last house before the dunes, made it perfect with us for walking dogs. The cottage is very pretty inside and out although whilst being shabby chic it certainly is shabbier than we had expected. It's over double the price of nearby cottages so we had expected it to be presented better, perhaps without the previous guests food in the fridge and matching cockery.

Tolles Haus und schöne Lage, Sauberkeit könnte verbessert werden

Das Haus sowie das Grundstück (toller großer Garten) sind sehr schön, die Lage ist auch toll, in 10min Fußweg hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick über das Meer und die Dünenlandschaft. Die Ausstattung ist vollkommen in Ordnung, jedoch könnte die Sauberkeit noch verbessert werden und leider gibt es sehr viele Fliegen (Bauernhof in der Nähe). Trotzdem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut.

Une jolie maison

Une jolie maison bien entretenue. On s’y sent comme chez soi. Le propriétaire est très aidant et disponible. La cuisine est très bien équipée également. Localisation a côté de la plage (parfait pour faire de grandes ballades). Je recommande vivement cette location et remercie Arthur pour son accueil.

Ein schönes Ferienhaus, ca. 1000m hinter den Dünen, die über 50m hoch sind! Also kein Meerblick! Der Strand ist super ,auch leicht mit dem Auto/Fahrrad zu erreichen. Auch mit dem Kamin ist es sehr angenehm.

Rustieke en gezellige woning op unieke plaats

We hebben erg genoten van dit vakantiehuis. Het huis is heel smaakvol ingericht. De keuken heeft een ruime uitrusting waardoor je goed zelf kunt koken, wat fijn is als je in Frankrijk bent. De houtkachel maakt het huis perfect voor een verblijf in februari. Dat is een geweldige tijd om hier te zijn. Mont Saint Michel zonder horden toeristen, prachtig wandelen langs kapen en een natuurlijke kust. Bayeux en alle D-day-monumenten zijn goed bereisbaar. We komen graag nog eens terug als je van Carteret naar de kanaaleilanden kunt varen en de fietsverhuur open is. Het contact met de eigenaars verliep prima. We ontvingen aardige tips. Wel lastig dat je voor mailcontact met eigenaars steeds moet inloggen met wachtwoord. De stoelen bij de eettafel waren instabiel. Alles bij elkaar was het een perfect verblijf. Rustig en een prachtige sterrenhemel ( lekker donker )

Wunderschöne Gegend, toller urlaub!

Ein wunderschönes Haus, welches völlig den gezeigten Bildern entspricht. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, es fehlte nichts! Wer gerne kocht, einen ruhigen Urlaub verbringt und Dünenweite mit Sandstrand mag, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Vielen Dank der Familie, die uns bestens über alles informiert hat. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, es war unvergesslich! Herzlichen Dank!

Beautiful!

Beautiful House, tremendous location, everything as described or better. We staid here with 4 kids and were very comfortbale. Finally a house with beds you can actually sleep in comfortably. Very clean. Perfect stay. Thanks to Arthur and Maria for their forthcoming communication we were able to check in late and everything was prepared for us!

Maison et cadre magnifiques!

l'accueil, le cadre et la maison sont superbes. Tout le charme d'une maison scandinave dans le cotentin. Aux portes de la nature (le GR passe à 10 mètres de la maison), et les dunes sont juste devant. Confortable, charmant, reposant (meme avec les grenouilles et les oiseaux). L'une des plus belle cotes de France, trop méconnue dans ce mélange de campagne et de mer. Nous reviendrons!

Klasse Ferienhaus

Direkt vor den Dünen von Hatainville. Wenn man 25 min durch die Dünen wandert, kommt man ans Meer vorbei an einem tollen Aussichtspunkt. Die riesige Weite ist wirklich beeindruckend. Der Strand bietet alles was man für einen Urlaub weit ab vom Massentourismus braucht, lange Wanderungen, nach Cartaret-Barneville an den Hafen...

Leuk huis nabij de zee

Aan de west kust van de provincie Cotentin in Normandië ( het opstekende puntje van Normandië) staat dit leuke huis op wandelafstand van het mooie strand. Rustige locatie in een klein dorpje in de buurt van een leuk kust stadje. Ook de D-Day locaties zijn vanaf hier prima berijdbaar.

einfach traumhaft

Es ist immer wieder schön zu erleben, dass die Fotos im Internet mit der Wirklichkeit übereinstimmen. Die Dünenlandschaft beginnt unmittelbar hinter dem Gartenzaun und der Aussichtspunkt auf den riesigen unberührten Strand von Hatainville liegt etwa 500m entfernt. Um an den Strand zu gelangen fährt man am besten 3 Minuten mit dem Auto (weil alles so riesig ist). Naturerlebnis pur abseits jeder Tourismus-Masse. Super Ferien - wir wären gerne länger geblieben! Das Haus ist einfach, sauber, authentisch eingerichtet - die Geschichte zum Haus muss man sich erzählen lassen!

A lovely property in a fantastic location

We were a family group of two adults and two toddlers and spent a very pleasant week here in June. The property is lovely and extremely comfortable. There was everything we needed plus so much more. The garden is wonderful - large with mature shrubs and some wonderful fig trees, which our boys loved chasing each other around. Beautiful roses too. And so many birds. From the upstairs bedroom the view is over the garden and then of the dunes. It is spectacular. The location too was perfect. Peaceful, on the edge of a small village, with access to the dunes just outside the door. We never made it on foot to the beach (slightly too far for very short legs) but it was less than 5 mins in the car and it was fabulous. Then another short car ride to Barneville-Carteret with many shops, restaurants, another lovely beach and a great Saturday market. We stocked up on wine and had delicious Moules Frites at one of the restaurants recommended by Maria & Arthur. We couldn't have asked for more. The only problem was that a week wasn't long enough so we certainly hope to come back! Thank you to Jeanne, Maria & Arthur for sharing their fantastic home. And to Mme. Joly for looking after us so kindly while we were there and putting up with our terrible attempts at speaking French.

Véritable maison de campagne dans les dunes.

Séjour très agréable malgré une météo capricieuse. La maison convient parfaitement pour 6 adultes. Elle est confortable on se s'y sent comme a la maison. Elle est parfaitement équipée avec des jeux pour petits et grands. Merci à Mme Jolie, on reviendra sans aucun doute.

superbe maison

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette maison lumineuse, très agréable à vivre, chaleureuse grâce au poêle à bois, à la décoration et à l'espace de vie très harmonieux. Et puis, nous étions en pleine nature, à deux pas des dunes magnifiques. Nos chiens et nous avons été ravis !
