"The house has great bones and is in a wonderful location in the adorable village of St Felicien. The host was communicative and polite. The main problem is that the interior furnishings haven't been updated - the beds and mattresses are all very old. The kitchen had dishes and utensils, but we had to rewash everything. Many of the surfaces were dusty. It smelled like it had been shuttered for a while. We ended up getting a room at the local hotel after a single night. I hate to post a negative...

"This old building has been converted to an attractive and comfortable gite, with excellent views from the garden. It's a long way up the hill so quite cool. Hard to find the right building as we did not have adequate directions. The giveaway is the owner's name on the cover for the electricity meter on the wall alongside the road. "This is a budget environment place. We stayed for one brief night but were not impressed by the place. For ex. we had to make our own beds, and a bed sheet was torn/ripped, and we needed to clean up after ourselves to avoid a cleaning charge, which I didn't like on a vacation. "Excellent stay. I was only there one night unfortunately but after walking 10 km to watch the European cycling championships I was grateful for the very comfortable bed and excellent pillows.
