I did not have an opportunity to utilize the pool, I will try to next time. I like that the interior facing rooms can all have a view of the pool. The gym had a modest amount of gym equipment, but it is exactly the amount you need when you’re away from home and you do not have a gym at your disposal. The A&W restaurant outside of the building was quite nice to have. The breakfast restaurant downstairs at the motel is very nice, and has very tasty foods. I utilize the coffee bar quite a bit before going on my excursions. The parking is plentiful and the parking stalls are a nice decent size for full-size pick up. Whenever I go visit Lethbridge , this is my favourite place to stay at. Even if the weather is inclement outside, you have the inside courtyard/atrium to make you feel like you are still outside, but in a climate controlled area.

Nothing mentioned on the Expedia site about the pool being closed. This was a staycation and the pool/hottub usage was the only reason we booked. I even reached out to sandman to inform that we required a pet booking so we wouldn’t have to deal with that at check in. In my chat with a sandman agent I expressed that we were looking forward to our stay and using amenities like the pool. Nothing was mentioned at that time about the pool being closed. Very disappointed and will not be using sandman for any stays as this was to celebrate Valentine’s Day, eat and drink at the Italian table which is attached to the hotel. We cancelled our dinner reservations at that time as well. Customers do not like negative surprises.

Place is great i love staying here decent gym, good restaurant my favorite part is the garden in the middle with the hot tub its mighty chill. They have a big rock perfect for just hanging out.

The place is so run down! Tiny death trap elevators, you have to walk the length of the hotel to get to them from your room. Ot seemed like verything was from the 90s. Stains on the couch, stains on the coffee table with a sign explaining that it's been cleaned and the stains are permanent. The mattress had deep sags in it from overuse. The lighting was bright blue-white in the room and not relaxing at all. The TV sounded like a tin can, you can't use Netflix on the TV only basic cable. And the cherry on the cake, the reason we booked here was for the pool, which was closed until the end of the month!

Check in wasn’t pleasant. The night manager was checking me in but he felt the need to have a conversation with another customer that was across the lobby while checking me in. He was previously helping that customer but continued conversing with him even though he was on the opposite side of the lobby - not even sure what exactly he was trying to say to him. He was very distracted and dismissive with me. Asked me for information I had already provided through the online partial check-in link they had sent via email. What was the point of filling that out when they’re just going to collect the same info at check-in? He provided no details on the hotel, such as dining or amenities available at the hotel. There was a sign next to the check in desk with a note about no running water the next day but he neglected to let me know anything about that either, Overall room was dated but it was passably clean. Not worth the extra cost per night as compared to other hotels in the city.

Staff seemed really great. I did find food in my fridge and dry food as well in the cupboard. So I’m not sure how “cleaned” the room was. I talked to the front desk, they came and got the items. They were very good about it and came and got the items. The hotel is beautiful and the room was very nice.
