“The outside of the hotel needs some maintenance. The hotel sign light is burnt out (giving a horror movie feel). The planters outside are empty and falling over.
That being said, the room was clean and housekeeping did a very good job. We stayed for 3 nights. Everything was very quiet (other than a bit of noisy highway traffic)
There is a very big bump turning into the property.
Nice big parking stalls outside of the hotel though, so that was nice.
Also the restaurant is closed and……

“Not too much to choose from in the small town of Fort MacLeod. Red Coat Inn certainly seemed the better of choices. A bit dated and a tad rundown it was clean and convenient. Office were helpful and on-site parking was free. The Fort is well worth a visit.”

“Like the old saying goes, "you get what you paid for", and this was the case here. Pros: Room was clean, liked the addition of the small kitchenette area, liked the motel entrance rather than being up several floors in a hotel and fridge and freezer were larger than normal. Cons: beds were terribly uncomfortable, couldn't get air conditioning to work, crank window broken and not usable, only 1 pkg of coffee, kleenex box with perhaps 3 tissues in it, no vending, ATM or ice machine on site. ……
