A peaceful hotel in Leuven with a lovely garden for relaxing. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
I had a great stay at this really pleasant hotel, close to the heart of Leuven and on the edge of the medieval Begrijnhof. Very modern and comfortable interior and excellently positioned for walking into town or the botanical gardens. Beware of a lot of cobblestones, though!
Wonderful clean, quiet and contemporary room. Well located within easy walking distance to the centre and restaurants. Only issue was the water flooding out of the shower due to slow draining shower outlet, but didn’t ruin our experience.
Great location, easily accessible by road for morning pick-ups. Very friendly staff, quiet, clean and very comfortable.
Also within 15mins walk of Leuven center and the Christmas market.
This is a very nice hotel located near some of the historic university buildings in Leuven. It's a 15 minute walk to the town centre so it is conveniently located. It's also across the road from the OH Leuven football stadium so if you're in town for a match, its very handy for that. Breakfast was good and the honour bar was well stocked. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Obe downside is it lacks a restaurant for the evening but there are plenty of very good restaurants in Leuven.
This is a beautiful hotel, but they should have warned us that there would be construction noises when we booked. It was too late by the time we arrived to check in. 9:00 is not terribly early, but we were exhausted from traveling.
Also, we booked a room for three people -- there were only two coffees and not enough towels. When my son called down for an extra pillow for his bed (the main bed had two pillows each per person) someone showed up and handed him a pillow without a pillowcase. Otherwise, we had a nice stay -- the beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and spacious. The problems were pretty minor, but seemed worth noting, because it's a relatively expensive place to stay, and those things were surprising.
Liked this property. Rooms were compact but very clean and cleverly designed to maximise space, although the bathroom areas were a little cramped. The shower was open to the room separated by just a curtain and a 2-way mirror, so not too much privacy, in case that might be an issue for you. But the whole space was nicely decorated and thought out. Beds were comfortable, and again sensible design allows you to store a number of suitcases easily in the room. Only real thing missing from the room was a bedside table.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the grounds/garden were really nice to spend time around. It is walking distance into the town, with the immediate environs consisting of mediaeval streets as if they hadn't been touched in hundreds of years. We didn't choose breakfast (€22) so cannot comment on the quality but it did look like a reasonable spread of a continental breakfast. The gym area was not so useful, a small room with 3 machines in it, but at least there is one.
Would definitely return for a short stay, although the rooms may be a little too compact for longer stays.
Nice hotel. Car park was not big enough to cater for enough cars. On the first night we had to park in an alternative car park about 5 mins walk away, which cost €24 euros for 24h.
We had a really nice stay, 7 nights. Only a couple of points, there is no draws in the room, so you have to leave the small things on show. We never had breakfast, as we know the area, having lived there for 12 years, but at €25 euros seems quite expensive.
