Enjoy sweeping views of the Delaware Bay as you and your extended family and friends spread out in this spacious, newly renovated seven bedroom, four and a half bath home in the popular community of Cape Shores. As you enter the first floor, an entire family can sleep in the first bedroom with the queen sized bed and a twin over full bunk bed. The other first-floor bedroom has a queen bed. The first-floor full bathroom is located down the hall, perfect for rinsing off after the beach if you don't like an outdoor shower. You can take the stairs or the elevator up to the second floor, with two suites of bedrooms. One of the second floor masters has a king bed, with a 2 sink Jack and Jill bath that connects to a bedroom with a queen bed. The other second floor master has a queen bed with an adjoining one sink Jack and Jill bath that connects to a children’s room with two twin beds. The third level has a large en-suite master with a balcony overlooking the bay. Enjoy cooking meals in the newly renovated kitchen with a 48 inch Wolf range. Feel free to stock your cooler with ice from the XO 27 pound ice maker! There’s plenty of room to lounge, either in the great room on the third floor or the game room on the second floor. The outdoor space makes the most of the bay views, with a screened in porch for dining, a sun deck on the third floor, and a rooftop deck perfect for watching the sunset. Other amenities include a gas grill, outdoor shower, 16 beach chairs, 2 beach carts, several umbrellas, one paddle board and kid's kayak. You can fit multiple generations of family in this home, capacity is up to 16 people. Please note, each bed has a mattress pad, duvet and/or blanket, and several pillows, but linens are not provided. Pets are not permitted.

The Home was beautiful and included all the best quality kitchen tools - Those knives were a hit! We loved the proximity of both the bay beach and Cape Henlopen beach and the use of the sparkling clean pool. What a lovely community in a great location. This house was perfect for our extended family of 16. It was a great location for us because the short walk to the bay was great for our grandsons who are 1.5 and 3. We also loved being near bike trails and could easily ride to the Henlopen State Park or ride 2 miles for breakfast in Lewes. We did our own tennis tournament and having the courts there was so convenient! It was so helpful that this home has beach chairs and a paddle board that we enjoyed using. While no linens were included, Holly was very clear in her communications about what size sheets we needed to bring.The views from the kitchen and upper deck were so beautiful and we loved sitting on both the screened porch and upper deck. It was wonderful to have 2 washer/dryers and 2 refrigerators. The kitchen was very well equipped. We liked that they had labels on the light switches which made transitioning to a new home easier. Holly was very quick to respond to my questions and a great communicator about the house and the area. We would definitely return to this home and are so grateful for our time together!

Lovely home away from home

We stayed in this property with our children and grandchildren, and loved not only the spaciousness and comfort of the home, but also the great proximity to the beach, Cape Henlopen State Park, and a community pool. The house met everyone's needs!

Summer Vacation

We totally enjoyed our annual family vacation here. The house is huge, with comfortable accommodations for all. The kitchen is well equipped. The bay views were delightful. We made good use of all of the beach chairs and would certainly recommend the area and the house.

Perfect family getaway!

Loved this beautiful home! Immaculately clean and a pleasure to be in! The bay beach was buggy when we were there but we loved the nearby ocean beach - although it was quite crowded. Loved all of the beach chairs and umbrellas too. We went online to buy that brand after. Communication with the owners was great! Recommend families check out Big Oyster Brewery - perfect for kids!!!

Cape Shores Getaway

We rented this home the week of Thanksgiving. Cape Shores is a quiet beach community that even at the height of season does not feel crowded. We were a group of 8 adults, but the home can accommodate a much larger group . The bedrooms are very large and the layout of the home affords plenty of privacy and personal space when needed. The house was immaculate , kitchen renovated, well appointed , and the bathrooms are renovated as well . The hosts left us a handwritten note with treats upon arrival - loved the personal touch. They also were quick to respond with any questions . We had zero issues with this home . I highly recommend this coastal home in Cape Shores. It’s updated, fresh, has nice decor, various hang out spaces and it’s in a great community. You can bike into town or in the state park that borders it with lots of paved trails , sand dunes and a path that connects lewes to Rehobeth. We can’t wait to return!

Family reunion

We had a wonderful family reunion at this house: 3 generations, 14 people, including 6 kids aged 3-11. This 7 bedroom house was perfect in size and location to the calm Delaware Bay (which our kids adored) and the neighborhood pool, both easy 3 minute walks from the house. There was a ton of beach paraphernalia, including beach chairs, umbrellas, and wagons, boogie boards, plus the big paddleboard. The large kitchen was stocked so well, including pots pans and spices. People could eat in the dining room (8) or at the kitchen counter (4) our directly outside on the porch (8). The house was immaculately clean, including the outside porches and garage. The Henlopen State Park entrance was a few minutes walk and 30 minute walk to the ocean. The Bike Barn had free bike loans inside the Park. You could also drive into the Park and pay $10 per car. Our favorites: close walking distance to beach and pool, outside shower, multiple areas in the house for the adults and/or kids to gather, additional refrigerator in the lower level laundry room, additional washer/dryer in the master bedroom, and the elevator which we used only to unload and load our cars (much to our grandkids’ dismay). Best of all, JP was so easy to communicate with and answered my many questions very quickly. I would highly recommend this house.

Family Time

The house fit our needs perfectly. We had 4 families of a total of 9 adults and 3 children under 10 staying at the property. The living area level accommodated us all. It was close to two beach accesses with a bay view from multiple rooms and decks. We had a great time using the paddleboard and boat and boogie boards. I highly recommend this property.

Excellent home, great location with well spaced bedrooms , great water access and views. The great room was perfect for gatherings and all 3 levels had nooks and crannies for quiet times. Overall, extremely happy with the house and its layout.

Has everything you need for a great stay!

Ages 6 months to 74 enjoyed a week at this beautifully appointed home. All items in the advance paperwork were on site, very clean, kitchen has everything needed for great cooking. View is great and a very easy walk to beach and pool. Having chairs, umbrellas, beach wagons on site made an easy packing for the trip. Plenty of off street parking for 4 vehicles. An on site ice machine was great for plenty of ice for the coolers. Best place to stay in our 15+ years at the Delaware beaches. We hope to go back in 2024.

PEERFECT FOR FAMILY REUNION

House and location were convenient for walking to quiet beach and accessible to great restaurants and shopping in Lewes as well as towns and parks in easy driving distance. A bit of confusion between VRBO listing online and in reality concerning checkout time and sizes of all beds (which affects sheet sizes to bring)..

We loved this house! Our family has stayed in numerous houses/locations in the Rehoboth area in the past, and this was definitely the best! It is spacious, clean and very well appointed in a quiet community at such a convenient location. Just a short walk up the street to beach access on the bay which is great for younger children, another short walk to the pool, and a short bike ride to trails for biking and walking. If you're interested in ocean waves, take a short drive down the street to Cape Henlopen Beach. Our family consists of 8 adults and 6 kids from 2 to 8 years old. The space was perfect for us! The kids kayak was definitely a hit, and the paddle board and beach chairs were very useful. It was nice not having to pack all our beach chairs. Holly was great to work with and we've reserved for next year!

Best Rental Experience Ever!

From the moment I picked this property to the moment I locked the door to come back home, this experience had been way above 5 stars! The owner consistently got back to me immediately with any questions I had and was always extremely helpful. The house was immaculate. The kitchen is apparently new and certainly looked fabulous. We all loved the openness of the kitchen, living area/dining area. The TV worked great and the sofa was comfortable and firm enough for everyone young and old. There were 14 of us ages 3 to 75 and we all had an amazing time and loved the house. In our case we had the three youngest wanting to sleep together in “The Mermaid Room”. We ended up bringing a toddler blow up mattress for the 3 year old so he could sleep with his sister and cousin as they were in two twin beds. On the first floor we put the three older kids, ages 12, 12, and 8 in the bunk beds with queen bed. The parents then went into the rooms with queen or king size beds. It really worked out perfectly. The location of the house is also fabulous. We rented bikes for the week and were able to bike through a beautiful park with great bike paths and it was very close to the house. In addition the entrance to the beach is right across the street. We were there for Thanksgiving when it’s was obviously much too cold for beaching it, but would definitely rent this house again hopefully in warmer weather to be able to enjoy the beach and summer activities. You certainly can’t go wrong with this property! Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Great friend-cation in Lewes!

We had a wonderful time renting Holly's beautiful house. It was a two minute walk to a quiet, relaxing beach, and a 4 minute walk to the pool. We loved the pool because there were plenty of 4 ft or lower areas for our little kids to play in. The home itself is massive and gave us plenty of space for the 4 families we were vacationing with. The kitchen looked brand new and had all of the essentials for cooking. One minor issue we had was with the garbage from the previous occupant which unfortunately caused the bottom floor to have lots of flies. Holly was great communicating to us about this and other issues, and could not have been nicer throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this listing to others!

Lewes Beach family vacay, 2021

We again enjoyed our family vacation in Lewes Delaware in our second year at your beach house in Cape Shores. We are a growing family ranging from toddlers to active young adults & your home offered many options for all ages...swimming, tennis matches & a family volleyball game all within five minutes of the house. The sunsets from the third floor balcony were a great way to end our day.

Best Week Ever!

My wife and I have three married children and 8 grandchildren (5 months to 8 years old, and they all live out of State so we are only all together several times a year. We desired an environment that was special. This home is gorgeous with many new updates. It is laid out to give each family privacy and a large common area where we can all spend time together. Access to the beach is about a three minute walk and the home is equipped with a beach cart to transport chairs, toys, umbreallas and gear. The owners couldn’t have been more perfect, Holly responded virtually instantly to my texts and answered all my questions. We can see the Bay from the top level where the kitchen and great room, Master suite are located. There are two decks on this level and a screened in porch. Also access to the roof top deck. Every evening after the children went to sleep we gathered on the deck for “Happy Hour” usually almost 2 hours! The home has an adult paddle board and children’s kayak, and life preservers, many chairs, umbrellas and sand toys etc. We also rented a tandem kayak from Quest (they delivered to the home or beach and recommended leaving it on the beach every night. That made things real easy so it had lots of use. The pool and tennis courts were in excellent condition and the home was stocked with rackets and balls. We never had to wait for a court. There were three bikes in the garage but no helmets, so you may wish to bring your own, as there is a walking cycling trail across the street from the entrance to the community. We can go on and on but simply stated, we highly recommend this well maintained home situated in a friendly well maintained beach community.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

We chose this property as a place for the family to gather and celebrate our mother's 100th birthday. It could not have been more perfect! The access to the beach was great for great grands, ages 8 months, 4 and 7. The adjacent Cape Henlopen Park provided a great place to walk and bike for the adults. The town of Lewes is charming--Saturday morning Farmer's Market, museums and restaurants. The house has several indoor and outdoor living spaces to allow multiple families to spend time together and apart. The beds were very comfortable as well. And the hosts were wonderful--our mom was even greeted with a bouquet of flowers and a box of artisan chocolates. We will definitely return!!
