The place was spacious, clean, and located by the launching are and dock slip for our boat. I would highly recommend this house for a family vacation.

Lovely and welcoming property!

Property was clean, well decorated and well maintained. Spacious overall, with awesome balconies, great rooms and baths. Kitchen is well equipped. A few minutes walk from the beach and near the marine. Quiet and welcoming neighborhood. Simply a wonderful place to stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is very comfortable and was perfect for our family. We had our two girls and their husbands and our four grandchildren (ages 9, 7, 5 and 4). The location is a nice walk to the beach, or town. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes up to the beach. The home itself was very clean (except for the grill) and was well equipped. The rental management company was very accommodating. Easy check in and check out. We will definitely keep this house in mind if we vacation in Lewes again. One last note, we lost power four times during our stay, not weather related, I don't know if this is common in this part of Lewes.

It is already hard to find availability but the owners deserve all the success they get from this well thought out perfect beach rental property in one of the most sought after beach towns. Do yourself a favor and rent you will see what I mean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was very comfortable to stay in and it was apparent that many of the little things had been given attention. It looked like it had a designers touch with many interesting things to look at. I took a few notes on what I might like to do in my own home. Everything matched the color scheme and that was nice. Beds were comfortable and views were nice. Kitchen was well stocked. Short walk to the beach and to town and restaurants.

Lovely property close to lovely beach!

My friends and I enjoyed staying at this house immensely! It is just a 10 or so minute walk to the beach, which is calm and beautiful and perfect for friends and family. The house had exactly what we were looking for - multiple porches for outdoor eating and hanging, a big living room and kitchen, and a grill! The only thing that I would mention wasn't my favorite was paying extra for linens. I have rented many properties over the years and have never seen a $300 charge for linens before. While it is an optional charge, it's still something that most other listings have included (as part of the cleaning/rental fees). Besides that one inconvenience, everything else was lovely. Management was easy to talk to and answered me and my friends' questions quickly. We'd definitely come back!

Winter Weekend

The location and house layout were wonderful. There is a lot of potential for this to be a great rental. However, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the house, especially when we pay a 300 cleaning fee. There was an entire bedroom drawer full of opened Girl Scout cookies and trash. Toilets had clear remnants of urination on the seats and some trash cans were not emptied upon arrival. We brought our own linens, which was planned, but used linens remained at our doorstep for our entire stay from maybe a previous family. We were not provided with toilet paper, paper towels, or trash bags. The thermostat was also set to schedule, that we could not change. The house got into the 50s at night, meaning we had to wake up to reset the thermostat. And one thermostat was in someone’s bedroom, making it awkward any time someone needed to increase the heat.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely home close to everything. Renting sheets is a bit of a pain, but seems to be somewhat standard with Berkshire Hathaway rentals.Our main complaint is the $2,000 deposit. Once you've paid it there is little way to dispute a charge. We were two families with young kids and we hauled out all of the sheets and trash and swept up the place. We were later told that we broke a glass shelf in the freezer. With crawling-aged kids this is something we would have certainly noticed and cleaned up, but instead were charged $90 for a new shelf. It isn't the end of the world, the house is nice, and I understand owners wanting to protect themselves from major damage. But charging us $90 for something we disputed seemed very petty given the price per night for the rental.
