Great family vaction spot.

This would be a great summer vaction spot. Right on the lake. Very child friendly with babe gates available to use. I would definitely stay again.

Great Family Get away.

Our family has stayed at this home on the lake twice in the past two years and both times it has been fantastic. The home is furnished with all cooking equipment needed for our large family. We always love our stay here and my kids adore the location. The host was a pleasure to deal with. Very sweet! Definitely will be back.

Screened in porch a wonderful setting to enjoy the lake and sunset. Easy communication with owner. Check-in/out was easy. Did not use kayaks, but there were several to choose from and life jackets handy.

Quiet Getaway

Kim was an outstanding host with superb communications. She answered all my questions and had recommendations for the local area. The lake was frozen over during our stay but so enjoyed the amazing screen porch and a cup of coffee. Loved that it was pet friendly. Great way for us to celebrate our anniversary.

Quiet relaxation

Great stay on Lake Malone. The house has everything you need to have a fun, relaxing time. Screened porch overlooking the lake is fantastic for that morning cup of coffee. Kim was easy to communicate with and made us feel at home. :)

Perfect Getaway!

This lake house was perfect! Just far enough to feel like you're truly getting away. Once you arrive, you walk out to the most beautiful view - from the screened in porch! No worrying about mosquito bites when you're enjoying yourself. The walkout basement to your own personal dock was phenomenal. We had coffee every morning looking at the lake. I can't recommend this place enough. I will definitely be coming back! If you're looking for a wonderful, clean, perfect lake getaway - look no further! I can't wait to visit again!

Perfect escape from reality!

For the second time, we enjoyed several days on beautiful Lake Malone. The house is set up perfectly for multiple families, the kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the screened in porch is the perfect space to play games, eat breakfast, and just take in the views. The lake itself is clean and perfect for swimming and boating. I cannot say enough about how great Kim, the host, has been. During both of our stays the communication has been clear, timely and flawless. She is friendly and helpful and genuinely cares if you have a good vacation. If you are looking for a quiet place to just enjoy family and friends, look no further! Hook and Fry is the place you’ve been searching for!

Amazing Host

This weekend lake getaway was absolutely amazing. There’s so many awesome things about this property that I’m gunna hit the key items. 1) beds are soooo comfortable. 2) home was very clean. 3) host was absolutely amazing!!!!! They answered all of my questions so quickly and was there every step of the way. Very accommodating and was super helpful when suggesting things to do. 4) so many activities. The kayaks were so fun, the dock was clean and they had everything you needed from life jackets to flats for the lake. 5) amazing hosts ( again ) they didn’t have anyone checking in the morning we were supposed to leave so they offered us to stay as long as we wanted on our checkout day. This was such an amazing gesture and we appreciated it so much. All in all this is an amazing adorable lake house and I absolutely will be back.

Home away from home

The owner is Awesome. She is very helpful and knowledgable about the area. When the weather was calling for storms, she reached out to us to let us know where the storm radio and flashlights were. Luckily we only received rain. The neighbors are very friendly. The home is very cozy and comfy. You can see the lake from the living room and game room. The stairs to the dock are not very taxing. The crowning jewel is the screened in porch. It was where I was the most, just watching the boats go by. We had our meals out there. We played board games out there. It was wonderful!!! We've found our home away from home and will definitely come back.

Birthday celebration

We booked this beautiful lake house for my twins’ 17th birthday. It was amazing. The house was just as described. There was a storm that damaged the roof and had a tree down in the back, the owner was apologetic and said we could cancel. Absolutely not! The house was still housing and the lake still had water in it. We had a blast. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Holiday

Hook and Fry provided a wonderful home for my family to celebrate Thanksgiving. Kim answered all my questions about kitchen supplies since we were cooking a large meal. She was so kind. I truly hope to return in the summer so that we can enjoy the patio and lake!

Loved the view. Kayaking was great. Two living Rooms was nice so everyone could watch what they wanted. Rock formations were awesome. Also had fun at Malone State Park finding all the Malone statues.

Plenty of R&R

We wanted a quiet, peaceful vacation where the only thing on the to-do list was to relax. Kim's home was perfect for what we needed this week. Everything was as advertised, the beds were comfy, the screened porch was a family favorite for games and watching sunsets. Watching my kids jump off the dock and leant how to kayak was my favorite part of the week. We came home rejuvenated and refreshed and could not have been happier with our stay.

Great Time!

We stayed for a week at Kim's place. It was perfect for our family, including my teen son and college-aged daughter. Plenty of room to spread out. Internet was great - we were able to do some work while there, including a couple of video calls. We cooked each meal and had everything we needed. We rented a pontoon boat, and docked it right there. It was wonderful to just push off and spend the day on the lake. Everything was clean and Kim was so thoughtful to recommend restaurants, where to fish, and they type of bait. She was a great host and I highly recommend staying here. I hope we can come back soon.

Nice cabin on the lake. It was very clean and all the items you need for an enjoyable trip was there. Loved the way it was arranged. Kids on top level with twin beds, adults on main floor with another bedroom in walkout basement. Very nice
