“We decided to go to Kauai, needing rest! This was a great place for us to get it. It was clean, located centrally, and we loved that the ocean was right in view, and so close! We were appreciative to have a stocked kitchen (except for condiments and coffee), and we used it regularly. There are some very good restaurants in the area, and a lovely farmers market a short walk away. We made good use of the pool, which was steps away from our door. The apartment is a bit on the dark side, but it's……

“What a lovely place to stay. Near town & airport as well as halfway between other various places/beaches you might like to visit. (The airport was sure handy when we found two things wrong with two different cars after leaving the lot… - just fyi, check the gas gauge & tires!) Only 10 mins walk to Lydgate Beach & the very cute, fun Mamahune tiki bar. Great to have two lanais and two bathrooms as well! A few things could’ve been more perfect, dropped a line to the managers, nothing a big enough……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful suite overlooking Kalapaki Bay. It is just as the pictures convey inside and out - beautiful condition and everything you need for your vacation. The floor to ceiling windows and large deck provide a magnificent view of the beach, bay and mountains as well as surfers and seals. Access to the beach and the Marriott restaurants was an added treat. The location was perfect to see the entire island. What an incredible hideaway! And the hosts were kind……

“If you're looking for a picturesque view. Book it. With the back door open and the front window open. The breeze is amazing! All the amenities you'll need for your stay are there. There is a bit of road noise, but close the bedroom window at night. All is good.”

“This is our second time staying at Kapaa Sands. This was a different unit we stayed in yet absolutely adore this property. We love the small beach cove area!! My fiance surprised me with an engagement proposal on that little cove!!! We have found a special place here. It is well kept, both the grounds as well as the units. We love the remodeled units, it keeps the "local" charm and feel!!”

“Our family of four adults stayed in May 2025 and really enjoyed the location—the view can’t be beat. The beds were comfortable and with the sea breeze air conditioning wasn’t needed. The outdoor chest has beach chairs, umbrella, toys and even a cooler. Living near saltwater ourselves we know how harsh it is, some things are starting to show their age but it didn’t take away from the charm of the rental. We would happily spend another week here.”

“Wonderful stay at the Kauai Beach Resort. Great pools! Need more lounge chairs around the pools for your guests. The best breakfast sandwich ever from Naupaka Terrace Restaurant on the property! All in all, great stay for our family to celebrate multiple birthdays. ”

“This is a nice condo for two - the views great from the lanai for beautiful sunrises. There is a road behind the building but the ocean sounds drowned out street noise. We found the unit very spacious and comfortable. It does not have air conditioning but at this time of year - February - it was not needed. Would definitely stay again. ”
