Thank you so much for your review. The condo had a kitchen updating makeover replacing the formica countertops with new beautiful quartz. This past week we received new living room queen size sofa-bed and matching recliner furniture, too! Will update my pictures soon. Hope you will come back every year!

Angela -Thank you for your review and suggestions. I have contacted housekeeper and sent her your review and she plans to replace the chipped dinner plates immediately. She will also check on any towels that look or feel too well used. We have them professionally washed and sanitized off site. We stock enough bathing towels and beach towels for 6 guests in the linen closet. I looked into the issue of guest shampoo. Housekeeping said they do leave what shampoo and conditioner previous guests have left behind if still useable, and also we have small generic hotel sizes of hair conditioner and bar soap there on hand. This negative review was expected. Guest contacted me after spending two nights in my condo saying there was a couple of problems. She reported that wet beach towels were left in the washing machine, and the kitchen sink facet was leaking. It turned out towels were accidentally left by housekeeper washing sheets and towels of previous guest who just checked out at 11 am the same morning. I saw a video sent of the kitchen sink was leaking, and the local property manager came to fix the facet by simply screwing facet head back tightly, he was there within two hours and fixed it in minutes. He removed the wet towels that she placed on the lanai for him. He also called Ms. Post the same day to see if there was another issue, and got no response from her. Later she replied in writing saying “she was too busy that day to meet him.” She vacated the next day. The pictures on my VRBO listing are advertising is accurate, including showing roof solar panels, the view from the patio, picture of stairs, it’s a hillside condo: hence the view of ocean. Yes, kitchen cabinets are older, but not broken, slimy and greasy as she called and reported to me. Condo has 1 full bath and shower, and one 1/2 bath which typically means a toilet and a sink: no 2nd shower. Listing and photos show it’s located in Nawiliwili Harbor area, Lihue, a historic working-shipping harbor; where cruise ships and Mainland cargo ships bring mostly people & products to Kauai. I advertise my condo as a good for value, comfortable older resort, and located near beach. Suggest reading my other guest reviews. And, Guest was refunded for her unused 4 days + tax, which I was not required to do. I believe the problem was guest probably found a luxury hotel or condo in another area, and that’s why they moved, not wanting to lose money paying for two places. After her short stay, in the weeks following, she sent numerous requests thru VRBO demanding a full 7 day refund or threatening to make trouble with VRBO / Expedia to take down my listing. This review is unfair and untrue as stated by her. It was discussed with house cleaning team, and my local property manager the importance of doing their best for our guests. They understand her issues reported, and they vow to do everything to correct what can be done to ensure guests in cleanliness and double-checking appliances for guests continued enjoyment.
