This time, we were lucky enough to be able to see all of the fireworks shows up and down Surprise Valley from the back porch. Pam once again was the best host with her quick and kind responses. "This is not a modern hotel, so if you're looking for that, this ain't it. That said, I had a wonderful time. It's like staying at a museum. It's clean, and the bathrooms work perfectly well, but it is an old structure with its quirks. It's like cilantro: you're either gonna love it or hate it. I loved it. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful. If I ever end up in that neck of the woods, I'm staying there again. Staying at Motel 6 or Super 8 is usually not memorable, and if it is, it's probably for a wrong reason..."
