Nice option

Hotel was a last minute option when we missed our flight. Very well organized and close to airport. Shuttle to and from airport every 30 minutes.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, especially the public areas. The small courtyard pool is surrounded by colorful flowers. The only downside: my airport pickup did not arrive. Had to call and wait a while late at night,

Clean, friendly service but some details to improv

The room was super clean and fresh scented, and the personnel were helpful and kind. The location is also excellent. The bedroom had everything we could need including bottled water. One thing we didn’t like was the loud music by the pool starting at 8 am and until past 11 in the evening. Also, we could hear a kid crying full night in the next room. I understand not much can be done about the kid crying, but I am surprised that the neighbours and other hotel guests would not complain about the music. The area is pretty residential so really unexpected. I asked the reception to turn it off by 11 pm and they did but I wonder what about the morning—I am a morning person so not an issue for me but maybe for other people?

We took a trip in the middle of our stay and they keep the luggage we did not need and brought it to our room when we returned. The staff is great. Most of them speak English. They are extremely helpful. Our room included a kitchen and it made it really convenient to make our own food and have space to work and relax.

I can not Recommend Peru Star highly enough ! This was a last minute find on Expedia and it was excellent in every way. This is proprietress Lucy's labor of love and you can tell. The attention to detail is incredible. it feels like you are in a dear friend's home. The rooms are immaculate and have every amenity imaginable - TV, micro, fridge,dishes, etc. The restaurant is fantastic. The San Isidro location is perfect - walking distance to stores anda huge mall, yet quiet and relaxed, and just a few minutes to taxi to Miraflores. Book this one, and you will be happy !:)

Good for family, comfortable but some improvement

Some positives and negatives at Peru Star GREAT We stayed in the 2 bed unit. It was massive, had a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathroom and a comfortable lounge room. Although in need of a modern upgrade, we found it very comfortable. All staff were also helpful and worked hard to fix some issues. GOOD The pool was handy, but opened to the public and their dogs. There was a loud noisy party in the restaurant on Saturday and some children didn’t seem to know where the toilet was leaving the pool dirty. Also outside guests were smoking and drinking by the pool, not the type of environment for our young family. BAD The Wifi dropped out several times. Staff worked hard to provide us with a mobile wifi which worked briefly. This was an issue for us.

Lovely, quaint and comfortable stay at the heart of San Isidro. The rooms were very nicely laid out and with all amenities. The staff is friendly and helped us plan our stay and gave recommendations on places to see. There’s a shopping mall in walking distance and a fair number of eateries around the neighbourhood to enjoy local cuisine. easy access to get to Miraflores and surrounding neighbourhoods. Highly recommended and will stay here again if i am in Lima.
