The location is great. The apartment other story, was dirty. The walls, the sofabed, the bathroom disgusting. The bedsheets smelled dirty, mold in the bathroom. I took pictures of everything. They changed my reservation from two bedrooms to two one bedroom one week b/4 the trip. Arbitrary, with no choice but to cancel if I didn't like it. Travelocity didn't help me to get my original reservation. I have no choice but to accept their awful apartments. Noisy! The dog across barked all night, all day. Terrible place to stay. The people in the reception was great though. Specially Jose.

I liked the apartment because it is close to restaurants, supermarkets, easy walking. The apartment is fine just needed some stuff in the kitchen that they are missing. The mattress was sagging in the middle and I got a pain on my back for it. I sent a message about the wifi and never got an answer. The neighbors are too noisy it was difficult to fall asleep.

En lo general muy bien, el apartamento es un poco mas pequeño de lo que imaginaba pero tenia todo lo necesarios muy limpio y acojedor, la zona donde esta ubicado es muy buena y segura y el local en general estaba muy limpio y bien atendido, recuerda que estan rentando un apartamento en un complejo de apartamentos no es un hotel no se esperen de tener desayuno o cocina en el lugar, pero a pocos metros se pueden encontrar muchos restaurantes y lugares donde se puede comer o hacer sus compras a pocas cuadras en el supermercado metro, en general muy bien y probablemente regresare en un futuro

Great location, clean apartment, but room for a lots of improvement
Overall this place was fine but there were quite a few issues. First, I messaged the host on the VRBO app a few days before arriving to let her know I’d be arriving very early in the morning and she never even replied. When I got there, I had to call her on the front desk guy’s phone to tell her I was there and the first thing she told me was that I still needed to pay (I already paid everything upfront in VRBO app..) When I told her that, she still said I did not. I had to message her AGAIN for her to finally confirm that I paid and she never once even said ‘thank you.’ She was rude, ungrateful and awful at communicating. Besides that, the place only had 1 roll of toilet paper for a WEEK. They didn’t even have basics for cooking and eating. There was a salt and pepper shaker...that were EMPTY...lol. We had to go buy this stuff. Overall 3 stars is accurate. Great location and a clean, simple apartment but the communication was horrible and it was laughable that they didn’t provide basics like salt and pepper and only 1 roll of toilet paper. The host needs to learn basic customer service.

It was a great little place to stay. A minutes walk to may places. Museums, the beach, and great restaurants. Really liked having a kitchen to make breakfast before going out adventuring. Only complaint would be the appliances. Only the rice cooker and the blender were able to be plugged in. The teapot toaster and microwave needed an adapter to plug into the wall. Fortunately I had brought my adaptors since we were traveling.

Nice and safe location, right next to top restaurants. Communication through expedia was difficult - spme confusion about airport pickup. But they answer thriugh whatsapp rightaway. Nice people. Security in building. Walkable to park and restaurants and cafes.

Great apartment, great location
The apartment was well positioned in the fascinating (and safe) Barranco district. The hosts were very helpful, responsive and speak excellent English - although note that the room is actually a room in a building of apartments which includes private residences, so the hosts are not actually on site. The building security officers are friendly and professional and while they do not speak English, they were able to help us with check in, check out and ordering a taxi. The hosts were able to stow our luggage for us when we arrived several hours before check in, which was a big help. The apartment was very clean, well furnished, nicely decorated, and with a full kitchen. The only negative was that the windows are not double glazed and the traffic is quite noisy from the street (used ear plugs). Otherwise, a fantastic hotel at a good price.

Ha sido la peor experiencia que he tenido en mi vida. Por alguna razón cuando hize la reservacion seleccióne dos noches pero al final me salió 2 habitaciones la misma noche. Llame a expedia para pedir ayuda y cambiar la reserva. Expedia los trato de contactar por dos semanas. Yo llamaba al hotel cada dos días envié alrededor de 20 correos electrónicos y nadie contestó. Al final expedia nos dio un bono para reservar otro hotel y enviaron un mensaje al hotel para cancelar. Solo en ese momento contestaron diciendo que no cancelaban y no devolvían ningún dinero. Estoy muy agradecido con expedia por su excelente servicio. Y muy decepcionado del hotel es una forma deshonesta de actuar. Gracias Expedia

The security was great! Felt very safe and that the staff cared about us. Located in close proximity to many things it was very convenient to walk just about any place. However, It was not what was advertised. We booked an apartment that was supposed to have 2 bunk beds and a queen bed. It did not have the right beds. We made it work but were told that they did NOT have that arrangement at all. So, if you're looking did that, it is NOT available. Other than that, people were very nice and very friendly. It did cost me $75 (more than a night's stay) to check in early. That was unfortunate. I emailed the office several times before leaving the US to ask about early check in. I never received a response. So, when we arrived a little early, they did let us in but it was a very steep price to pay. The room was ready and vacant. It would have been nice to just be allowed in or maybe charged a nominal fee. Making me pay more than one night's stay was unreasonable.

I continue to be disappointed with some of Expedia's offerings in South America...this was a well-located apartment building that felt like an AirBNB rather than a hotel. For the same price, I could have gotten a normal hotel with breakfast in a convenient location, so I was a little annoyed to have rented basically an apartment share. Arrival and check-in were easy enough but a little weird (security sent us to a nondescript apartment where a snippy but English-speaking Lima local gave us the key and copied passports. Wifi was strong, there was hot water and in-shower shampoo, etc. The apartment was clean and comfortable but smelled like overwhelming amounts of Febreeze that was covering up cigarette smoke. The building felt like a college dorm rather than a hotel. I wouldn't do this again.

Conveniently located, clean. Check in process can be confusing at first because there is first a security desk then you go up stairs and check in at an unmarked apartment. Walls are thin so you can hear everything, but bed is comfortable and the space is plenty big.

Loud but Exciting!
The location was fun in the heart of Barranco. That also means you need to understand that it can get loud on weekends and holidays. It is right next to Central Resturante (6th best restaurant in the world!). The place was quite basic though. I understand that it’s a self sustaining unit but I have stayed in similar places that at least had some basics like salt, pepper, and oil to cook with.

Clean and spacious. Check out took a bit of time as they have to go to the room to check if there’s no damage or broken glasses. There also was a odd smell in the living room (dog smell)

Great Barranco Condo
The building and amenities are all wonderful. The building is fairly new and it's location is only a couple of blocks from Barranco's shops & main square. The only improvement I would suggest is if they provided a regular coffee maker as opposed to the small 1/2 cup turkish coffee maker, and if they'd provide the parkade remote rather than us needing to contact the front desk each time you want to enter or exit the building.... I'd gladly pay a loss or damage deposit to cover the remote, rather than needing to contact the desk. Overall, we loved .our stay and would definately stay here again. Thank you.
