Happy Dogs.

we stay here twice a year, once on our way down to South of France and then on our return. We take our dogs with us, there is a lake with a path leading around it, couple of laps and doggies happy. Swimming pool, son is happy. Parking, bar and restaurant Mum and Dad happy!! We try to get there early, have an early supper, food good, even with a fussy 11 year old. Breakfast also good, best to have either early pre 8 am or later 9.30 ish. Great hotel.

Lovely hotel with a fab view of the lake. Great selection at breakfast including those who like myself are gluten free (which for France who are not great at gluten free options was refreshing) beds, linen very comfortable. Pet friendly, free onsite car parking and overall an enjoyable stay.

The hotel was very comfortable, clean and in good condition. However, the restaurant is another matter - breakfast items ran out very quickly and were not replaced as soon as they should have been One morning they ran out of baguettes - in France???? Evening meals were very limited, four starters, four mains, four puddings, the same menu for two months Service was unbelievably slow, it took us 1.5hrs to get a main course. Very nice swimming pool and area and near to lake, very pleasant.

The position of the hotel next to the lake is the selling point of this hotel. The hotel is clean and there being some modernisation to the bar/ restaurant area. The service at dinner time was very poor. We received our food before our drinks.

Location next to the lake was really nice, we had a lake view room which looked over the pool and lake which was great. Clean and comfortable hotel. Looks a bit dated from the outside. It’s a couple of mile into Limoges centre and not much to see in the immediate area other than the lake and a kids play park. I found the hotels restaurant a bit disappointing, menu was very limited on an evening and found it overpriced. The breakfast was pretty good although at 19.50 euros per head I’m not sure it was good value for money. I have to say we thought the housekeeping staff were wonderful, always said hello and checked we had everything we needed!

This is an outstanding hotel! The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I wish we could have stayed more than one night in such a lovely hotel.

Good for a stop over

The service from staff was fantastic, efficient and friendly. Bed was comfortable and room clean with nice bathroom products. Negatives: swimming pool opening times, I wish they would be advertised when booking. It was a reason we chose to stay there but the pool didn’t open until 10am and when you have to check out at 11. The English TV channels didn’t work, yes we’re in France and that’s fine, but don’t advertise having any for them not to work. The USB port didn’t work on the side of the bed either

This was a great property for a four-person family. The room was perfect for our purposes, the area and hotel was quiet, and the breakfasts were great. The kids loved the pool, and there are great kids' parks around. There are also a wide variety of restaurants within short driving distance.

OK en route.

Good overnight stop on the way to Dordogne. Efficient reception, excellent parking. Ideal for travel with a dog: ground floor room, woodland and lake. Breakfast was cleared away with military zeal at 9.25 which seemed remarkably early for an hotel catering to people on vacation.

Staff very polite and helpful. Cooling system an absolute joke during scorching temperature. In the main area barely noticeable, in the room very low! Food average, breakfast not worth it for the money paid. By 8:45 was very little left and food not stocked up. Hotel very well located close to the motorways and with wonderful surroundings. Worth it regardless and with room for improvements ( no pun intended ).

Extremely rude staff!

Extremely disappointed. The staff whose name was "Audrey" made our check-in a terribly unpleasant experience. First she asked for our names. She didn't find it in her system and got a little unpleasant while we did’nt know which name we booked in....she asked for first name but it turned out she was looking for our last name. No big deal we thought. In the booking, we have written 2 adults, 2 children (6 and 8 years old), and added in a comment to the hotel that we also have an infant with us for whom we would like a baby crib. Got an email from the hotel confirming that it is okay, that they will set up a baby crib in the room. But when Audrey's sees our baby, she rolls her eyes and says "you're 5 persons it’s not possible, you can't stay here" we try to resolve the situation but unfortunately she doesn't want to help and is extremely unpleasant and rude. Almost screams and finally tells me to shut up. Never experienced similar treatment.... When we then ask if we can cancel the accommodation, which she refuses and say: you have to cancel the day before..,even though we completed the booking 2 hours ago. We call hotels.com customer service for help, he also talks to your employee who refuses to be helpful. In the end, we are then forced to book an extra double room for SEK 1,869 so that our infant can stay at the property. A room we won't even use. The Audrey in question went and hid in the office. Not okay at all!
