Quick trip
Was a great place to meet up with a friend! Close to the beach but would be 10, 15 mintues walk. Appliances and pots and pans are alittle out of date but all worked.

The views of this place are really beautiful. The beds were very comfortable as well. The home has all original appliances which I love the vintage feel of it. However, the oven does take FOREVER to cook. Not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind if you’re planning on cooking. Also, the upstairs bedroom, as beautiful as it is and the views are astounding, the stairs up are very steep. Not easy for older people to go up and down. Again, not always a deal breaker, but some things to think about if you’re going with family. Overall, I would stay here again. The communication was great, the place was clean, quiet neighborhood close to everything!

We loved our stay!
After reading some of the other reviews, we were a little nervous about our upcoming trip and wanted to be prepared. We brought extra blankets because we heard it was cold and brought warm clothes, etc. We were pleasantly surprised with this property. It's true that the fireplace doesn't work, but the thermostat worked really well and kept us plenty warm. It was 2-3 degrees cooler upstairs, but that was fine with us. Other reviews complain about how "outdated" the furnishings are. We found them pleasant, clean, and charming. There are little tidbits of information around the house about the house itself and the history behind the furnishings. For example, there was a story upstairs about how they had to remove a second story window to get the bed frame into the bedroom! Plates and glasses were in great condition. Everything was clean and well-labeled. We would stay here again. The view was amazing. It's pretty private, very close to everything in town, and it was very quiet. You can tell the owners take pride in their home. Thanks for the wonderful beach trip!

Interesting/unique
The place is very unique. The view is the best part! Excellent view! The house some interesting features.. especially if you are into antique stuff! Everything in the house looked very clean However, when we arrived it was in the middle of a nasty storm and 1 am.. we were exhausted. But when walking in the first thing that hit us was a musty smell.. overwhelming . But we thought maybe it was from the laundry area .. it rains so much in that area. So we went up to the king sized bed ( up the spiral staircase.. which was kind of cool. ) the bed was huge and very cool . But the bedding smelled so strong of mildew or mold.. we didn’t want to touch the sheets or bedding on our skin. We couldn’t sleep for the smell.. . We almost left to try to find a hotel. In the middle of the night. We did reach out to the vacasa people and they offered to send a cleaning person .. but, the house was not dirty not sure they could have done anything to help . I did get a pillow and washed all of the pillow cases . But the bedding itself was too large. So we just used some other blankets that I washed. The smell stuck to everything we had in the house. Had to wash all our clothes that we had in the house when we got home. I hate to put a bad review on here. But maybe the issue will be resolved. It is a lovely location

Great view was all it had
The view was amazing. The furnishing are way outdated. The fireplace was not working or you just weren’t allowed to use it. There was no heat upstairs and it was freezing cold. No blankets on the bed upstairs. We made the best of it but I do not recommend this property and would not stay here again.

Best Location Ever!
The views from this home are outstanding! We also enjoyed the very quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. Another plus is that it's only a 10-minute walk to a most beautiful beach! The house itself is spacious, fairly clean, and mostly comfortable. However, it is advertised as having a gas fireplace but it was out of order and appeared to have been for some time. Also the oven was broken, which was a big disappointment. We reported these to Vacasa and they sent a repairman over; however, after a lot of effort he was unable to fix either. Also, the heat thermostat in the upstairs bedroom is out of service and it was quite chilly upstairs. There was only a sheet and bedspread on the bed so we had to search for a blanket to keep us warm. This is a pet-friendly home, which we appreciated, but there was a big pet-stain on the carpet near the kitchen and the yard was a virtual minefield of dog poop! We were dismayed that there are so many inconsiderate dog owners that don't pick up after their pups. There is a floor lamp in the living room with a broken switch so the only way to turn it on or off is to plug it in or unplug it. Another lamp in the room has a broken lampshade but if you don't mind it sitting crookedly, then no problem. There is good Wifi and the TV worked well. There is a very limited collection of DVDs to watch. Despite these complaints, we actually had a lovely, relaxing week at this home.

Great Location with Amazing View!
The Good: The views from every window take your breath away, and the house is so relaxing you won't want to leave. The little library and sitting room were a nice touch. The upstairs bedroom is amazing and comfortable! The Unexpected: four or five deer wandered through the back yard daily, and we spotted a rabbit or two. Pretty cool if you like wildlife! This brings up a point... the yard is not fully fenced (dog owners take note). The Achilles Heel: the downstairs bed is really in need of a new mattress, unless you enjoy feeling the springs in your back. My wife says it is fine for one sleeper. More Goodies: the place is well stocked with dishes, coffee makers, coffee filters, cook ware, bake ware, and silverware. We love the place!!!

Impeccable view!! And the history of the house is interesting.
As above, you can’t beat that view!! The deck is great and fantastic to watch the sunset or just read a book when the wether and wind permit. My only criticisms would be that there is a note on the wall asking you to start a load of laundry on your way out, but there was no laundry detergent that we could find. We needed to wash some laundry, so we picked some up, no problem. Last thing, I love the antique furniture in the house, but it did make the house a little musty - an update to the carpet or some Febreeze around the house would be great. We had a fantastic time and would love to stay in the home again!

This is a wonderful house, good for 2 couples, with many large windows to see the ocean. The one problem is parking. You have to park horizontally and there was not room for our 4-door pick-up and 2-door coupe. Also, the circular staircase is probably not for older people.

Love the location and view, but nothing is new
I have held off posting this review because I called Vacasa/VRBO to report that the listing information is not accurate, but it has been weeks and still no change. They gave us a small refund but haven't responded to my inquiries about them changing the listing info...so here goes: We have stayed in this home three times. I think this past stay in July was our last because there has been significant wear on the carpets and all the furniture. (And the nightly rate doubled so it's no longer a steal for a home that accommodates only four.) One chair that was new when we stayed the first time now has peeling upholstery where your head rests. The other recliner is so worn that we laid a towel over it to help it feel more clean. The carpets are quite dingy. The listing says the carpets are updated but they have not been replaced in years. The kitchen has not been updated - kitchen counters, cabinets, oven, and stove are all circa 1980. I suppose the dishwasher may be less than 10 years old. That said, the location is great and the views are fantastic. But, yet another caveat, upstairs you have to look through bird poop on the windows to see the view and we hand washed the window exteriors on the main to improve the view. (Bird poop on windows was there our last two stays, 9 months apart.) We do love listening to the ocean while we're falling asleep and waking up. The yard is nice too. This location is so special - the house just needs a bit of TLC and more honest listing information to get back our positive reviews. If these very outdated features and mediocre cleanliness don't deter you, I do recommend the house for location and views...and, it is dog friendly which can be hard to find. I hope this information helps others have realistic expectations for this property. Happy vacationing!

Unorganized unsafe location
I could not open the front door until 9:00pm. The front DOOR KEY DOES NOT OPEN the front door lock. I had to have a friend pick the lock. There is NO smoke detector in the kitchen area. The Vacasa people could not provide any reasonable assistance. The home smelled like cat urine. The Jennaire stove fan turns off by itself. NO EXHAUST for the stove.

I loved the stay, great job keeping the place extra clean. I loved that my dog and I could get away. The location was perfect for what I needed. I booked it for the view and it did not disappoint. Yes the furnishings feel like a grandma's house but I didn't mind that at all. Go for the view and easy access to lincoln city and newport.

The cleanliness of the house was great, awesome location with a beautiful view. The listing says parking for two cars, but there is only enough room for one, on the street as there is no access to the garage. Overall, a nice place to stay, and would definitely recommend.

Functional and amazing view
Very clean, functional, spacious for four and absolutely fantastic views. Location well out of the tsunami zone, which is a must for us, but easy drive to breach. Upstairs mattress is very soft, but we slept well with the large windows open for the loud sound of the waves and fresh air. Bed speads and blankets are worn and need to be updated, although sheets were crisp and newer. Next time we will bring our own blankets. The furniture is also all very outdated but clean. We plan to rent here again because of the views, functional space, and good price.

It was a weekend of social distancing and shelter in place, but since it was just my son & his girlfriend I decided not to cancel. The house was good for staying in, goid strong internet for streaming on the roku that we brought. Lots of options for cookware to prepare all the food we brought. Bedrooms can be chilly, bring slippers 😊

Great little property with exceptional views. Although the rooms are a bit dated, the property was clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed. We didn’t stay at the location you have listed. We stayed at Making Waves!!!!
The home was in much need of updating!! The carpet was so old and dirty I wouldn’t walk on it without shoes on. Sliding door didn’t lock and was installed backwards, so there was no way to secure it!!! The furniture was very old and it was extremely uncomfortable!! The stove didn’t work! However the view was spectacular!!!!!

Perfect dog friendly home
We recently spent several days here while visiting our son. We needed a place that would take his dog and were happy to find Ocean View Terrace. It was clean, had very comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. We would definitely stay here again. We particularly enjoyed the interesting books in the library!
