Perfect ocean view
Loved the large window to watch the ocean waves. Took 2 long walks each day on the beach. The condo was perfect for the two of us. Easy check in and the host was friendly and quick with responses. Will book again.

This condo is one of a kind!! It has 2 windows west and south facing, along with the mirrors in the room, it makes you feel you are surrounded by ocean and beach. New curtains, bedding and towels. This condo is a hidden gem in the complex. Patty

Thank you for your review! It is a great location. The condo is perfect for two people. The view is unusual as it has two windows looking west, to the beach right out front and south, facing the D River and down the beach.

There may have been LOTS of storms, but watching the weathwr and the ocean with a hot cup of coffee in the morning....the best.

Nice place for a short getaway
We booked this condo for a 3 night stay. We didn't do any cooking, but the kitchen was well stocked. The room is right on the end of the building so there is a side window that expands the view. We liked the view, and kept one window open for the sound of the ocean. The place was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing views, less than amazing property upkeep
As others have noted, the location of the property right on the beach and the views onto the ocean are unbeatable. The Seahorse unit itself, however, needs some TLC. Others have noted the stains on the carpet. The entire place would benefit greatly from fresh paint, new curtains, and upgraded furniture. In addition, the glass sliding doors in the hall closet don't slide and the bathroom cabinet has one door that falls off if opened. The windows with the incredible view need maintenance. One of the front windows has lost its latch so does not close all the way. The window overlooking the D river needs repair or replacing to preserve the view, which is partly obscured by condensation and staining between the layers of glass. Overall, we enjoyed the unimpeded view onto the beach and the sound of the waves but will not be back until this unit receives the care and maintenance it needs.

Your in luck! The carpet was cleaned but stains did not come out so there will be new carpet put in this spring. The closet doors, the latch on the window have both been fixed and replaced. The curtains and rod are new as of 2 weeks ago. The window for the side has been ordered. Hope to see you again, so you can see the updated condo. I may be a few months by the time we get the new floor and carpet put in. Patty

Lincoln City Sea Horse Suite
The property was located right on the beach with a beautiful view of the ocean. The condo was roomy and wasn’t cluttered with a lot of extra knickknacks which allowed us space for our personal stuff. We felt that the condo was very clean and tidy but there were a few stains on the carpet. Overall, we would highly recommend this property.

We loved our second-floor room with big windows overlooking the beach and lagoon. Patty kept us well-informed. It’s a little scruffy (as a rental used by a parade of sandy people will be) but very comfortable and well-supplied. Instant access to the beach is the best part. We hope to return.

Perfect getaway spot!
The location could not be better! We slept with the windows open to hear the ocean all night! We were steps from the beach. Easy access to Hwy 101 to get around the city. The unit was clean. The bed was soft—the pillows were a little flat but not bad. Communication with the host was excellent. We have already booked for next year!

Great location and potential to be a great condo but it was VERY dirty. I had to vacuum the carpet upon arrival. Doors were falling off of bathroom cabinet. Location was a 10.

Wonderful getaway, but could have been even better....
The location is amazing with direct access to the beach and incredible views from the comfort of the room. The condo furnishings are a little tired and could use some updates. The wood laminate flooring from the entryway through the kitchen is very loose and "floaty" and should be fixed. The kitchen was satisfactory, but we wish it would have come with more amenities. The seals on the windows are bad so moisture gets between the glass and obscures the beautiful views at times. This all sounds bad, but really overall it was a lovely experience. The biggest distraction was actually the neighbors above us that were dragging furniture back and forth across the tile floors until late into the night. We heard it again the following day and went upstairs to find out what the heck was going on and the cleaners were moving furniture back into place from the night/day before.

Cute little place with amazing view! Loved hearing the ocean waves. Right in the middle of the Fairy Float area. Passed a little boy and his mother who found a Fairy Float just a little ways down the beach.

Exactly as expected
Quaint and unique corner unit directly overlooking the "D" river and ocean beach. A short 4 mile walk to Mo's for chowder, or 2 mile walk to Pig & Pancake for breakfast.

This condo is unique that it has two windows. The ocean right out the front window and a second window facing south. You can watch way down the beach that direction also. Patty

Great location, lousy upkeep
I have never written a negative review on VRBO, and I've stayed in many wonderful places. This Lincoln City rental has a great location and you can't beat the beach access, but the condo itself was in need of cleaning and stocking. There was no soap or shampoo in the dispensers, no kleenex in the dispenser, there were only two bath towels and two hand towels and they were not folded properly, stowed under the bathroom sink. There was a pair of earrings left in the bathroom from someone who had been there before us. The sheets smelled "funky", as though they might not have been thoroughly washed. We stayed our 3 nights because we paid for them and we really did enjoy the proximity to the ocean, right outside our window. But I will not be staying in this room again.

I am very sorry you found the condo in that condition. I had to use a temporary cleaning company for a few weeks. I have now hired a new cleaning company which has come highly recommended. I hope you will come again to find that is not the normal condition the condo is in for guests.

Hi Julia, Thank you for sharing your feedback, I know we spoke during your stay and you shared these concerns with me then. The owner has the bed listed as a Queen bed, I will measure it to check the size. Extra soap can be found under the kitchen or bathroom sinks and during our conversation you indicated a gallon refill was found, but the counter dispenser had not been refilled.

This unit has a spectacular location and view. Lincoln city is amazing! I've stayed in a few different units in the Sea Gypsy property. This unit needs a freshening up of the bed and linens. The bed was not comfortable. The towels and sheets were not folded and put away, they were shoved in balls in the closet so it was a bit difficult to know or trust that they were clean. We rented another unit at the same time and I can say that the cleanliness of the Sea Gypsy in general has declined. I'm attributing it to the lack of workers available. Hopefully things will get better next time.

The best part about my stay was that it was next to the ocean with a view out the window and the beach access. Patty was very responsive when I called which was great! What was uncomfortable for me was stains on the carpet, mold around the bathtub, and the refrigerator wasn’t exactly clean. When I pay this much money to stay somewhere I expect a well kept property. My experience was disappointing in this respect. The paper work was also a bit over the top too . I did love the location and Patty very nice!

Thank you for your review.. The carpet was shampooed, however there were stains that would not come out. We are waiting for the high season to slow so we can put new flooring instead of carpet. I was using a temporary cleaning company for a few weeks while I was looking for a new cleaning company. I have now hired one that is highly recommended and I feel they will do the job that will be up to guests standards and guests will feel comfortable. Please watch for the new reviews starting in September and see how this condo is shining. I hope you will return and write a new review. Patty

This was a lovely condo in the perfect spot to watch the high tide. We had one gorgeous sunny day, and day where the gales picked up so we turned in a bit early. We were able to watch the tide come in and even saw a seal bobbing in and out occasionally (poor guy swam against the tide quite a bit, it was so adorable)! The room was warm with windows to open to catch a cool breeze, and plenty of towels for us. The location was perfect to walk to some of the local forest trails, too, so we were able to get a quite a bit of hiking in both on the beach and in the woods. There was a comfy bed and a pull out couch for my partner's sister, so we all had a comfortable stay and could wash up and dry off quickly after trips to the beach. The staff both for the Sea Gypsy and our Sea Horse Suite were all friendly, and helpful! We very much enjoyed our stay and will keep this condo in mind for future Lincoln City visits!

The view's the thing! Five star view, 2 star housing. The condo is adequate but lacking. No tissue in the tissue holder, no shampoo or conditioner in the shampoo and conditioner receptacle, a toilet plunger on the floor, floor coverings...carpet and lino need replacing. Bedding is adequate, pillows are less so. But! The view is the thing!

We had a great time staying at the Sea Gypsy. It made a great “home base” as we explored the area for a few days. The view to the ocean and the sound of the waves is perfect. Having a full kitchen was excellent as well especially when businesses are closed for the holidays.
