This 300m2 apartment from the XVII Century lived the Marchesa de Bica, an extraordinary lady that dedicated her live in prol of others. A gifted women in a time when in Portugal women were not seen as equals. She persevered in the domain of the arts and achieved a reputation amongst fellow artists. This apartment was renovated with charm and taste leaving some vestiges of ancient times. The restored stone arcades pavement in the Master bedroom from the VXII century amongst other reliques.

Please note that Internet works better in the Main Area due to the thick walls. At the office and living and dinning area you have better reception.

This is a family building Quiet Hours from 10 pm to 8 am Please Note that PARTIES ARE NOT ALLOWED MUSIC THAT IS PLAYED IN A HIGH VOLUME THAT MIGHT UPSET NEIGHBORS IS NOT ALLOWED We have strict policy on this point and if this is not comply a fine of 1000 Euros will be charged extra.

Several tram lines take you everywhere in the city. The train to the beaches is located 5 minutes away as well as the metro which links the whole city. The boat for the other shore is also 5 minutes away and the airport is only 15 minutes away.

The apartment was great! Spacious, clean, and had most everything we needed. It was in a great location as well! The communication was also quick and easy. My only piece of advice for the owners was regarding the primary shower. It leaked out onto the floor, so we ended up using our towels to dry it after each shower. Either more towels are needed, or figure out how to stop the leak. But it was a great place and we had a wonderful time!

What an amazing property. Incredible location and restored beautifully so that we felt like we were Portuguese Royalty living our best life. Great hot showers, large rooms and soft towels. Thank you for sharing this property.

We stayed for about 21 days so had a full experience. Apartment was spacious and clean, property manager was great. Short comings include location was two floors over a busy brewery that was open until 2:00 in the morning, master bath not fully functional (toilet issues and shower drain), other two bathrooms had strong odor and had to buy air freshener units to manage odors. Apartment was very noisy most of the time as soundproofing was poor and upstairs neighbors were very loud.

Apartment with good bones but needs updating

We chose the most expensive apartment offered on the site with expectations of everything to be at least good. The place was not cleaned besides changed bedsheets. The floors were filthy Our bathroom didn’t even have shelves in the shower space. A bottle of cheep soap was dropped on the floor . The walls were worped and in a dire need of repainting The other bathroom handheld shower was malfunctioning and the water was spaying from everywhere I called the manager about it who didn’t even respond to my concerns We requested a cleaning session which was done There are a lot of strange objects in there which don’t represent art The kitchen was well equipped and the common area was spacious Be aware the space bellow is a gathering of young people all night. Very noisy The place needs a total makeover. It’s misrepresented and doesn’t justify the price we paid We won’t be going back

Heart of Lisbon

Wonderful apartment and fabulous location. Host was very responsive to questions. We stayed during a holiday festival and the front bedroom was not as quiet as the back three bedrooms. Adult kids loved the location near the nightlife. We would highly recommend.

Amazing, Spacious and Unique!

We were very pleased with this large apartment with 4 bedrooms. Lots of space to spread out! We were very pleased with the cleanliness and all the lovely art that was throughout the apartment. Check in was super easy. The location is perfect - right beside the tram to go up the hills, a coffee shop right below and a block from the market. The only hard part was the stairs, but we could all use a little extra exercise in our lives! Great place and highly recommended!

Tolle, zentrale, sehr schön eingerichtete Wohnung. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Danke dem Gastgeber und der sehr guten Kommunikation per Whatsapp. Alles verlief problemlos. Einzig anzumerken ist, dass das große Hauptschlafzimmer zur Straße sehr laut ist wegen einer großen Bar (bis 2/3 Uhr nachts) direkt darunter und der Straße (ab 6 Uhr). In den hinteren Schlafzimmern ist es aber ruhiger. Ich kann die Wohnung empfehlen!

There were only two problems: 1) there was no upfront info re: the HUGE number of stairs we had to maneuver to get to the apartment, and 2) there was NO hot water in the front bedroom sink, no matter how long we ran it.

Hat unsere Erwartungen nicht ganz erfüllt

Das Appartement ist wunderschön, stylisch dekoriert, perfekte Küche und Wohnzimmer. Es ist super gelegen und Frederico hat sich jederzeit um unsere Anliegen gekümmert und alles sehr gut erklärt. Leider ist das grosse, schönste Zimmer gegen die Strasse gerichtet und dementsprechend laut. Auch die anderen Anwohner des Hauses hört man sehr gut. Das hinterste Zimmer ist feucht und riecht entsprechend, die Wände im dazugehörigen Badezimmer sind feucht und der Bewegungsmelder, der sowieso nur stört wenn nachts jemand auf die Toilette geht, geht auch ohne Bewegung an, was uns jeweils mitten in der Nacht aufweckte. Auch der Fireplace funktioniert nicht. Für diesen Preis braucht es da wohl einige dringende Reparaturen. Schade, sonst wäre das Appartement wirklich äussertst empfehlenswert.

Terrific stay in Lisbon

We were a party of 7, family and friends. The rooms are good sizes. The location is great (though like much or Lisbon, you have a mix of boarded up building and great restaurants). There are stairs to get to the elevator, so that is one element that isn’t clear from the description. That was challenging for some of us. Fredrica, however, was fabulous. There when we checked in and helped us with bags and basic orientation. The cafe downstairs is a gem. All in all, a terrific property and I highly recommend it for larger groups.

Amazing apartment! In walking distance to all kinds of great food and fun. Small things in the apartment could be better, like the doors are very hard to open, it needs more places to hang towels, floors squeak, doors creak (as expected in an old building). It has an iron, but did not find an ironing board.

Spacious Apartment for a Large Group

Fantastic rental! Large apartment with a nice amenities, great art and modern finishes. Perfect for our group of 7 adults, especially the large kitchen/living space. Convenient, fun neighborhood. Two notes: one room has twin beds (vs Queen) and there are four sets of stairs up to the apartment.

Lisbon Stay

Overall outstanding. The apartment is outstanding. Very spacious and well appointed. Perfect for a family of 5 or 6 with teenage/college age kids. There is a lot going on in the neighborhood with bars, cafes, cabUuber access everywhere if you don't want to walk, but it's an easy walk to hundreds of restaurants, bars, cafe's, etc. If you are looking for complete piece and quiet away from the city, this isn't for you. But if you want an amazing place that's convenient to everything and incredibly nice, I highly recommend! We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful inside and convenient location outside

Four couples rented this place for three nights in beautiful Lisbon and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. As you can see from the pictures, it is a beautiful apartment - eclectic and huge. What may not be apparent is that it is very conveniently located. A very easy walk to fun bars and restaurants plus public transportation. We loved our stay here!

Perfect location and apartment for a group of 8

My husband and I were with our 3 college aged daughters and their friends. The apartment was large and comfortable and outfitted with everything that we needed. Definitely visit the Brazilian coffee shop downstairs. Very attentive for any needs and made checkin and check out easy. Highly recommend.
