Had issues with plumbing, beds etc. Toilet leaked all over the floor. Stairs were not expected and horrible to get up with luggage. All of us in our 70s. Pictures not like the actual property. Have requested a refund and left the property after 1 night.

We would highly recommend Sao Vicente Apartment and definitely stay there again. From booking all the way through check out, communication was terrific and our host Paula was absolutely wonderful and responsive. This apartment is in the heart of Aflama and central to everything. There are some amazing coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Beds were comfortable as well!

Multi Generation Stay

After the initial ascent up the incredibly steep stairs, the stay was great. It was fun to watch Tram 27 go by the front. We could tell when it was coming by noticing the wires beginning to bounce. Alfama is a really cool neighborhood to explore. We were surprised at how quiet it was, despite being there in June with all of the street parties going on.

São Vincente in Alfama Lisbon

The São Vincente apartment was clean and comfortable. It provided a spacious living and dining room area, and a narrow but adequate kitchen area. There were two separate bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The bedroom upstairs was very spacious whereas the downstairs bedroom had limited space. The bed in this room was comfortable but took up most of the space with little room for walking around. There was also a third bedroom that offered additional storage space. The living room decor did not quite match up with the online pictures. A little updating would be helpful. As for our check-in, there was a mixup with our train arrival time and we ended up waiting outside the apartment in the dark for over a half hour. We tried to contact the property manager and called the number provided but were not familiar with the European plus sign. Eventually she came, let us in and welcomed us with a bottle of wine. A first aid kit was missing and the toaster and hair dryer were not working properly. However when notified, she was able to bring the 2 appliances in question, the next day. Since the stairs from the street outside up to the apartment were very steep, the absence of a railing at the bottom half of the stairs was a security hazard. It made climbing difficult especially at night in the dark. We loved our stay in Lisbon and found a few local restaurants in the area that we enjoyed. We were a good half hour walk from the downtown area but only a short taxi ride home.

Perfekter Empfang durch Goncalo und ebenso die weitere Betreuung. Vollausstattung der Wohnung. Für jeden eine separate Schlafstelle. Super Innenstadtlage. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Fijn appartement op centrale ligging

Het apartement ligt in de oude wijk Alfama, het is wel klimmen om er te komen. Gezellig ingericht en je hebt klein terrasje. Wij zaten er met 6 vrouwen. Zijn er alleen laat op de avond geweest, want waren hele dag op pad. Ook erg leuk dat er op zaterdag een vlooienmarkt vlakbij is!

Apartent good for 6 people. Ac excellant. Location hilly but great neighborhood. Food market below. Lots of restaurants close. As some have mentioned, stairs are steep. But once bags in it is okay

A Taste of “Local” Lisbon

We very much enjoyed the courtyard space, the large living/dining room, watching the trams go by, and all the restaurants only a few steps away. We wanted to stay in an authentic Lisbon neighbourhood and live with the locals. This condo fit the bill. Some things to be aware of are that the stairs leading up to the condo are narrow and steep and walking around the area does require focus. We used Ubers (very reasonably priced) quite often to cut down on the up and down walking of the hills. However, if we returned to Lisbon, this condo would be our first choice.

Geräumige Wohnung als Ausgangspunkt für einen Lissabon-Trip mit Familie

Wir hatten ein paar sehr schöne Tage im bergigen Lissabon. Mit Kinderwagen sind die steilen Pflastersteinstraßen bei 35°C schon herausfordernd, aber dafür kommt man mit den Öffentlichen oder Taxi zuverlässig von A nach B. Die Wohnung bot und alles, was wir brauchten: ausreichend Schlafmöglichkeiten, funktionierende Küche und Klimaanlage, Babybett und eine Terrasse zum Verweilen. Auch ein kleines Starterpaket inkl. Wein gab es von den Gastgebern, die insgesamt sehr aufmerksam und jederzeit zu erreichen waren. Einzig die Anreise wurde etwas stressig für uns, da wir nur ein begrenztes Zeitfenster zum Check-in bekamen und dieses auf Grund einer Wartezeit am Flughafen immer enger wurde. Im Bad gibt es keine Fenster, weshalb auch leichte Schimmelspuren zu sehen waren. Aber alles in allem waren wir zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt.

Long weekend

We have just got back from staying here for a long weekend as a group of friends in their 20s for a hen party. We loved the apartment it was perfect for us, there's a shop and a couple of cafes a few doors down from the apartment. The apartment was clean, lots of space for us and well equipped and we were allowed to check in early. The only downside is the stairs to the apartment are very steep however this didn't bother us, but probably not ideal if you are older/have big suitcases with you. Thank you so much for a great stay :)

Séjour en agréable

Logement très bien placé dans le quartier historique de l'Alfama. L'appartement est joliment décoré. Rien ne manque au niveau des équipements. Il serait d'autant plus agréable si les salles de bains étaient rénovées (surtout celle du bas). Gros point négatif la qualité de la literie. Qui doit vraiment être changée rapidement. Même si des sur-matelas ont été rajoutés, cela ne suffit pas.

Large luggage beware

This apartment was a bit of a disappointment in a couple of areas for us. Communication between us and the property manager, Carla, was good but we would have appreciated more detail in where we could have had our driver park his vehicle when dropping us off due to the tight quarters with the tram being right outside the apartments door. Mrs. Ohlinda who let us into the apartment was a joy even though she could not speak a work of English was able to make herself understood with regard to instructions concerning the coffee maker, fridge and stove. Upon opening the door from the street to get access to the 2nd floor apartment we discovered a staircase that was almost perpendicular and very narrow. Very difficult to manœuvre with our all our luggage. If you travel lightly the stairs will not pose a problem but if you have more than a carry on it will be a trail to get it up the stairs. While going through the apartment with Mrs. Ohlinda we noticed a very strong musty smell throughout which remained during our stay. The main floor bathroom needs updating due to the mold inside the shower stall and along the bottom outside the stall. The bed in the back bedroom feels like you are sleeping on a box spring rather than a mattress. Many of the dishes and mugs were chipped and are in need of replacement. The chairs and couches in the sitting area in the living room were not comfortable. Overall we would not stay in this apartment again.

Clean and cosy apartment in the heart of old town Lisbon

Checking in was very easy and fast. We arrived around 10PM and Mrs Olinda greeted us and gave a complete and fast round of the apartment. Situated in the heart of the old town. Tram stop 1 min away and lot of restaurants nearby.

Ein schönes Appartement direkt in der Altstadt von Alfama gelegen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten direkt vor der Haustür. Der Check-In war problemlos und freundlich, wenn auch die Dame nur portugisisch sprach. Es gab zur Begrüßung gab es Milch, Wasser, Brötchen und Butter. Das Appartement ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt. Die Terasse lädt zum verweilen nach einem langen Tag in der Stadt ein.

Loved the apartment

Communication with Carla was great. She responded quickly to any questions I had. Sorry that we didn't actually get to meet in person. She did have a lady there to greet us when we arrived who took us through the apartment and explained where everything was and how things worked, showed us maps, etc. Very delightful. And gave us all a big hug when she left. Apartment was perfect for the four of us. Loved having both a living room inside, and a patio area outside where we could relax. Opened the front doors and could watch people walking on the street below from our balcony, as well as the street cars (tramS - #28) going by in both directions. Place was very comfortably decorated and spacious. (my wife and I got to use the upstairs bedroom, which was great). Area in which the apartment was located, in Alfama, was great as well. Really gave us a feal for living in the old town area. Only drawback for some might be the steep stairs going from the street level up to the apartment. But this was noted in previous reviews, so we were prepared (was great exerisize as well). Only other thing to note was that the sliding glass doors to the patio area self locked - so one could have locked themselves out. Otherwise, we LOVED this place. Missed hearing the trolleys go by after we left (but must say that the doors were very well insulated and once closed, it was very quiet inside.

Urlaub Alfama

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, das Apparment war sauber und wie beschrieben, wir wurden von einer netten Dame erwartet, leider spricht sie nur portugisisch, aber wir kamen zurecht. Man muß allerdings sagen,daß die Wohnung nicht für Ältere geeignet ist, da 2. Stock und enge steile Treppe. Dann auch etwas laut, da die Straßenbahn unmittelbar am Haus vorbei fährt, von 24 bis 6 Uhr ist Ruhe. Insgesamt fanden wir es sehr schön, in dieser Umgebung zu wohnen, und wir sind jederzeit mit der Straßenbahn zur Baixa gefahren und auch wieder zurück, dann allerdings mit etwas Wartezeit. Besondersnett war es, wir wurden mit Brötchen und Butter, Milch und Wasser empfangen.

Appartement simple mais bien situé.

Attention aux photos car en réel pièces plus petites exemple: cuisine "couloir", terrasse impossible de bouger une fois la table et les convives installés et finition générale pas au niveau. Grande vigilance sur l'escalier pour accéder a l’appartement car très "droit" et marches étroites a éviter avec des enfants ou des personnes limités physiquement. Lors de notre séjour clim en panne du matin même selon la personne qui gère l'appartement dans la chambre principale (celle a l’étage) pas un ventilateur en échange mais 2 bouteilles de vins de la vallée du Douro offertes pour le désagrément. Dans l'ensemble appartement a choisir principalement pour l'emplacement, en plein cœur de Lisbonne et au pied du tramway.

Accueil et départ géré par une personne désagréable et malgré le rangement et le nettoyage fait par les locataires la caution est gardée sans précision. L’evacuation d’un WC ressorte par la douche donc pas top ! Du coup une salle de bain fonctionne sur 2. Nous ne recommandons pas la location .

We all had a great time. Carla was very accommodating and the apartment had a lot of character in a lovely area of Lisbon. As previous reviews state, the stairs are a bit tricky with or without suitcases.
