員工非常友善熱情，早餐也比歐洲一般民宿旅館都好吃，但浴室用亞洲標準來說不算乾淨。室友考驗自己的運氣人品，我是剛好遇到極品室友，跟同房每個其他室友吵架的那種。總的來說像住在比較吵的大學宿舍。

A charming stay in the heart of Lisbon. The Independente blends heritage character with a relaxed, social atmosphere that makes it ideal for travellers who value both comfort and community. We stayed in a six-bed dorm with shared bathrooms — everything was clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully maintained. The breakfast was generous and great value for the price, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, always ready with local tips or a smile. With its beautiful building, excellent location overlooking the Miradouro, and a lively yet respectful vibe, it’s a place that makes you feel part of Lisbon rather than just visiting it.

Die Lage ist fantastisch. Auch fantastisch ist das Frühstücksbuffet mit einem unschlagbaren Preis von 9 Euro. Unser Doppelzimmer war über den separaten Eingang zu erreichen, im ersten OG direkt mit Zugang vom Treppenhaus. Das ist insofern sehr nachteilig, als das zwischen 23 und 0:00 Uhr Horden von Menschen durch das Treppenhaus stolpern, und sich laut unterhalten. Der Grund dafür ist die Rooftop Bar, die auch zu dem Hotelkomplex gehört. Bedeutet: darauf achten, dass ihr auf keinen Fall ein Doppelzimmer im Treppenhaus habt. Weiterhin ist der WLAN in den Zimmern sehr sehr schlecht. Alles in allem können wir das Hotel aber trotzdem ruhigen Gewissens weiter empfehlen, die Vorteile überwiegen.

Charming building and dining patio. Beds were extremely comfortable. The space was clean. Bathroom space very cramped, was manageable for the women. The location was outstanding, safe, walkable and lively. The best view point of Lisboa! I highly recommend.

We liked its excellent location in the popular Bairro Alto district, across the street from the city lookout spot, Miradouro de Sáo Pedro de Alcántara. They did have a small elevator, but then we had to descend and ascend five steps each, once we reached our floor (one of our suitcases was especially heavy, so this was difficult). There was an espresso maker, but I needed reception to come show me how to use it. Then, after the first night, the coffees were not replenished, so I had to go ask for more, and even then they were out of regular coffee (only decaf). The room was small and comfortable. The desk was open 24/7, so that was nice.

If you are a tall or XL person, it is diffcult to stand &/or sit on the toilet with the door closed, as the stalls are very small. The washing machine is convenient as it adds detergent, but the dryer ran for 1 hour and left my clothes very damp. There was no heat, despite selecting the highest heat setting. Also there are little (human) mice that ate 1/2 of my food in the refrigerator, despite it being labeled with my name and check out date. I guess they were in need of a meal.

Conveniently located but female front desk staff looked blasé (maybe I'll be being in the epicenter of touristic Lisboa but whatever, the male receptionnists were cool). Also not a fan of the dorm beds sketchy "stairs" and black mould in the room and bathrooms?! Breakfast was very cool tho. The breakfast staff are the loveliest of the bunch. Super cute garden patio too!

Lovely old building across the street from one of the best lookouts in Lisbon. Although mostly a hostel, very worth taking a 3rd floor solo room. If you need to leave early, breakfast will not be an option (nor will the elevator).

Unique hotel in god location

Amazing unique hotell with superb location in lisbon. Its quirky with a lot if charm. They have a rooftop bar and a very good restaurant. Breakfast is small but good. Rooms are charming and if you like something with atmosphere and personality this is perfect.

Fabulous location with many great restaurants and bars within a block or two. The room was clean and cute and the view was great. Staff was helpful and the breakfast included was delightful and delicious. I would stay there again and again and I hope that I get the chance! This hotel was so cool! Really charming decor inside, and the location was great. The breakfast spread was very good every morning, and the rooftop bar was so much fun. They held our bags before we could check in and after we checked out; Shakira was so helpful during check-in! Will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Lisbon and would definitely recommend to someone else.

Fantastic place with great location and a good breakfast. We stayed in the private rooms on top floor with a balcony overlooking the entire city. Note the first 2 floors is a hostel with multi bed rooms so make sure to check before you book.
