“If you want a peaceful retreat then look no further! This is your spot! The house is perfectly clean and well appointed. My favorite spot for a morning cup of coffee was the screened in porch looking out at the river. Unfortunately we didn’t get to spend our time allotted there and had to leave early.”

“Our stay was great! The house was very cute and clean. Hot tub worked great and was nice and hot! Everything was so well thought out. Lots of helpful hints posted around the property and we loved that all the light switches were labeled! The location is walkable to downtown as well, however, the road right in front of the home does not have a sidewalk and can be busy at times. We would definitely stay here again! ”

“This is a very nice clean place. The fenced in back yard was wonderful for our little dog. It was convenient to dining and activities in town. The owners are very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this tiny home if you need a place to stay in the area.”

“Great property. Lots to do in the house and not too far from the smaller towns that make up is area. Would love to come back. Side note. This place is pet friendly but there is almost no grass. Not sure if this was due to the storm last year or it looks like they might be doing some outside work. For dogs that are picky about where they go, be aware. ”

“Beautiful house and view of the lake! House was clean, well stocked, and the owners are very responsive and friendly. The A/C did have trouble keeping up on a few hot days on the top floor, even with the drapes shut, to the point we asked if someone could look at the HVAC unit while we were there. The owners did send a technician out, and everything seemed to be working correctly. The owners did say they plan to make some additional modifications soon to address the sun light heating up……

“Another great year at the lake. Love the dock and the available slip for our boat. Plenty of room in the house. Great views. Our only issue is the kitchen. The cabinets and drawers are quite small and all the pots and pans are piled beneath the island. After a week, the stools around the island leave you wanting a regular chair to sit and eat. Relatively minor in the grand scheme of things and we try to maximize our time on the water while there. Thanks for having us. ”

“Carlson's Crawdad House was amazing. I wish our entire 7 day stay in NC would have been here. Super clean, crisp fresh sheets and pillows, A/C worked great as it was in the high 80's - low 90's outside. Felt like home in the mountains. Large enough for 2 families. Thank you we would love to stay here again.”
