Merlot Cabin #8 - Hocking Hills - Firepit-Wifi-HotTub- Hiking-Fishing

Welcome to the Merlot Cabin #8, part of Hocking Hills Cabins & Resort – Village Cabins. This NEW cabin features an open studio style layout with a cathedral ceiling, full kitchen, sitting area and king bed. The sitting area provides a couch that doubles as a pullout couch for additional bedding. In the front of the there is a separate bedroom with a set of twin bunk beds. Merlot has a full bathroom with a walk-in tile shower. There is a TV inside the cabin along with a DVD player, which guests can use with their own DVDs. Merlot cabin has wifi for guests to use during their stay. The exterior offers a covered deck with a propane gas grill, dining furniture and a hot tub. A private fire pit is located next to the cabin. Guest parking is in the front of the cabin. The Merlot cabin is great for a quick getaway or week long adventure to Hocking Hills.


Our property features 14 different lodging options for guests to enjoy on 95 shared acres. The common amenities such as the fishing pond, volleyball and greenspace are open for all guests. Please contact our office for details on additional cabins located on the property. The Village Cabins sit in a cul-de-sac style setting on the property.

I would definitely go back. The only bad thing was that we saw some cockroaches and the hot tub was pretty cloudy dirty when we arrived. my wife and i didnt go in but the kids did and they are doing fine. merlot is a great cabin.

Beautiful cabin, love the hot tub!
Excellent cabin- perfectly clean. Great location. Kids loved the hot tub and fire pit. Only would have appreciated a few little things like salt/pepper and shampoo/soap. They kindly provided a peeler when I texted we needed one! :)

Was nice but..
We liked the cabin but the room layout was odd. King bed in the same room as the living room & kitchen, there isn’t really dining space only 2 stools at the island counter. Very small space if you had children. Water pressure in shower was not good. Great shower space but no water to enjoy it. No dish washer which we didn’t mind but nothing to put your dishes in to drain. It was more of a Glamping trip. WiFi did work great. Nice tv but couldn’t see it from the couch because of the odd layout. Hot tub nice but not secluded. Could be seen from the road. Great place if you are going to be going in & out a lot. Paved road.

Great getaway!
Wanted a quick getaway from work after Xmas. My husband, 7yo daughter and I went for 3 nights. The land was beautiful, and welcoming. Everything was easy from start to finish. When we 1st arrived the cabin was clean and they had the fire place on and music playing which I loved walking into. The cabin had Everything we needed and everything worked like it should. This will be a yearly thing for my family, I Definitely recommend!

Winter hike
Easy to find. Loved the cabin. Stayed during the Winter hike. Very nice cabin. Only issue was the propane grill was missing a propane tank. Had missed if I needed to bring my own. Minor issue since I can cook a steak on the stove just as well. Lol.
