Was surprised to learn that A/C was only available at an additional cost of 25000 Ariary (about $5 USD), and there was no fan in the room to make the heat bearable without A/C. The room had two beds in separate sleeping spaces, but the A/C was not powerful enough to cool anything other than the bed next to it. 「J’ai séjourné à la villa les Orchidées du 20 au 28 avril 2026. L’endroit était à la fois calme et fort bien situé par rapport à la plage et les autres attraits. Je voudrais surtout remercier chaudement tout le personnel qui m’a généreusement aidé alors que j’étais malade et avais besoin de beaucoup de support dont faire appel d’urgence à un médecin. 「Staff were super friendly and gave us welcome drinks when we arrived. Food was really nice and they had a large selection of cocktails and mocktails. Only issue was sometimes they would make the cocktails ridiculously strong and the pillows were too hard/large for my liking」

「Reception staff pleasant and helpful, new bungalows are beautiful, older ones cute and rustic but with very limited space and almost no closet / storage space, no air conditioning and some nights very loud from clubs down the beach. Breakfast was wonderful, other experinces in the restaurant disappointing (food okay, service poor). Cleaning in the rooms not very good - sand not swept up from the floor. Overall we had a good stay, but lots could be improved.」
