I'll stay here again if I need a room, this end of London. It wasn't the Ritz. And it didn't COST what the Ritz would have. It is a thoroughly modern operation in a very old building. Yes the stairs are narrow, steep... BUT...
Room clean. Lovely high ceilings. Room NOT over pub. Excellent sound proofing. LOVELY friendly, competent staff. Excellent cooked breakfast part of cost of room.

L'hotel é innuna zina comodissima, di fronte a Waterloo station da dove puoi arrivare ovunque. Ottimo il pub sotto l'hotel. Dalla nostra camera, la n. 18, non si sentiva alcun rumore, contrariamente a quanto segnalato da altri ospiti. La camera non era grande, anzi piuttisto piccola ma perfettamente organizzata. Ottima la colazione, sia english che continental (a parte il caffè!). Le camere potrebbero essere un pò più pulite, ecco perchè 4 stelle.
