「We were going to arrive after the office closed for the evening. We called and the young lady at the desk was very helpful. She said she would leave our key under the mat in front of our door. Sure enough it was there when we finally arrived. Parking was excellent and the view from the room was fantastic.」

「I absolutely loved my stay at the Moby Dick! I really appreciated the old-time charm and cozy, nostalgic feel. The grounds and surrounding scenery are absolutely beautiful, making it a peaceful place to slow down and enjoy the coast. What makes it even more special is knowing that staying here helps support marine research. That alone makes me even more excited to come back. 「It’s a very unique old hotel dating back to 1896. The architecture has not been updated but keeps a funky charm. Reused old wood furniture, old tub with an attached shower. Pub on site. Sauna and garden to relax. A pool table and board games. Fire place in the lounge area. Victoria was awesome. Loved it and would stay there again but not like a modern hotel.」

「The staff was super helpful, considering one bed was broke, ( they knew it and rented the room anyway) and the door locks wouldn't work. Someone did come very fast to get a key from the office to let us in at 8pm. Unfortunately they couldn't get in the office (same lock issue) and a 2nd person came with a key to the office to get us a key to the room. NOTE. keyless entry may not work well with a west facing door on a HOT evening.」
