"I spent 3 nights at the hotel on a business trip and was disappointed with the hotel. Very bare minimum amenities in the room. I had a ironing board but no iron. There was a water kettle but no tea/coffee. The bathroom was quite small, tub was also tiny, water pressure low, clogged bathtub and a very short curtain to keep the water in the tub. Disappointing."

"The location of the hotel is excellent, with it being just a block from Times Square. The staff were polite and efficient, and the Internet worked well. I booked three rooms for 2 nights and asked to check in to one a couple hours early...which I was able to do, but for a $25 fee. The room overall was clean, with a few exceptions like doors. It is an old building, and the radiator heat was quite loud at times. The windows leaked cold air, so the room was usually a little cold. In my room the water was hot - in one of the others the shower only got lukewarm. The sink had a slow drain. If you like vintage buildings in a great location, I would recommend it."

"A great option for those just looking for a place to sleep/shower and explore the city from a central location. While it is dated (decor, scratched furnishing), it is very clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. 2 examples; even though is was just after 10 and breakfast was over, the attendant made a fresh pot of coffee; the front desk allowed me to store my bags all day after check out. The breakfast was fine-good muffins, bagels and coffee. That alone saves you $15 in NYC."
