“Not our first time staying at the Coastal Inn and we enjoyed this stay as much as all the other times we've stayed. The staff is friendly and helpful.
They are in the process of painting the entire exterior and it is looking great!”

“The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful.
Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. Like much of the Long Beach peninsula, the Mermaid is quiet and laid back...but still in walking distance to "downtown" and……

“The attached pub was great. Well our room was clean, the shower was terrible! The water flow was lousy and the hot and cold water knobs in the shower did not want to turn on. We had to work very hard to get any kind of flow.”

“Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Felt more like a guest room than motel room mainly due to the thoughtfully chosen decorations and amenities. Parking was excellent and dog walking was convenient. Not fancy looking and the walls were thin - that is all there would be to keep from excellent status. Would return in a heartbeat.”

“A solid choice for a quick stopover on the way to Astoria. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which is exactly what you want after a long drive. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The only downside is the morning breakfast, which is very limited in options—you will likely want to plan on grabbing coffee and a full meal somewhere else on the road. Overall, it is a perfectly clean, practical, and friendly place to crash for a single……
