We were disappointed with how unkempt the place was and did not meet our expectations. We made it work for the time we were there but had to clean a lot of things to use. "This place was prefect for our family of 5 staying the weekend to visit family. Our host was very helpful and responsive to questions and communications, and the listing was exactly as described. Lots of very thoughtful touches that made us feel more at home, such games, coffee and tea, and most bathroom essentials. The area is easy to navigate and surprisingly quiet at night. Street parking was quite easy for us to find on the weekend as well. Would be happy to return! "

"We enjoyed our stay! The staff were friendly & very helpful! We were celebrating my daughter’s 13th birthday! The property was very clean. The only thing I saw was the bathroom needed a remodeled some of the wall areas & bathtub & toilet were a little rusty & needed to be renovated. The air conditioner unit was nosey. But other than that we enjoyed our stay!"

"The hotel is extremely expensive, the room is basic and nothing special, and the staff are completely unfriendly, except for the elderly porter. There's no kettle in the room, and on weekends, you can hear the band playing loudly until late at night. Check-in is also late, at 4 PM, which is much later than the usual 12 PM or 2 PM. I had to pay an extra $150 for early check-in at 11:30 AM, even though the room was ready."

"This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. The biggest issue was the condition of our room. It was clear that housekeeping and maintenance were not up to standard. During our stay, pieces of the bathroom ceiling literally fell into the shower, leaving debris on the shower floor. As a result, we could not safely use the shower. This is a serious safety and cleanliness issue that should never happen in any hotel. The Wi-Fi was also frustrating. The hotel limited us to only four connected devices, which is restrictive for a family traveling with multiple phones, tablets, and laptops. Even after connecting, the internet was slow, unreliable, and frequently dropped. Customer service made the experience even worse. Staff members were often rude, dismissive, and slow to respond. When we reported issues, there was little urgency or concern shown. The elevators were another major problem. With only three elevators serving the property, mornings were extremely frustrating. The elevators were constantly full, and on multiple occasions we had to wait through three elevator cycles before there was finally room for us to get on. Between the falling ceiling debris, unusable shower, poor Wi-Fi, unhelpful service, and overcrowded elevators, this hotel failed to meet even basic expectations. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to other travelers."

"I loved this hotel! Favorite place I’ve stayed in NYC yet. Beautiful rooms, great location, smoothie juice bar, and a garden outside perfect for daytime or ending the night. The check in staff could have been a bit more welcoming for the price but hey it’s new york after all lol. Also would say it’s geared towards a younger crowd especially with the roof / lobby clubs open on the weekends. Hope to be back soon!"
