Perfect location!
We traveled here for our summer vacation with our two children (8 & 10). It was the perfect location for all the things - Cloudland Canyon, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Coker Car Museum, and the aquarium. The hosts were great, even giving us additional places to visit and suggestions for dining. We will definitely visit again!

What lovely hosts!
These hosts go way beyond expectations in helping their guests feel comfortable and cope with being away from home. They are so conveniently close to Covenant that staying there while visiting our daughter was so much less complicated than it could have been.

Beautiful cottage in perfect location
Located right on top of Lookout Mountain on the GA side. Also, equal distances from top locations like Rock City and Ruby Falls. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful and we even stayed an extra night.

Cozy cottage, convenient to college and Lookout Mountain highlights!
Our family really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was perfect for my husband and I in one bedroom, the two younger kids on the twin beds in a second bedroom, and our 11 and 13 year old on the living room pullout couch. It was easy to find, very convenient to the college, and mountain trails were walking distance. We were so close to Fairyland conveniences (Starbucks and the cafes) and we enjoyed visiting Point Park. A great trip, and the cottage’s location and our piece of mind with the ease of contacting the owners made the trip even better.

Perfect for Covenant College visit
Great location! Perfect if you're visiting Covenant College. I don't think it even took us 1 minute to drive to this house from Covenant. Beautiful area. Communication with the owner was wonderful.

Fantastic cabin, fantastic owners, fantastic time!
Extremely clean, well kept cottage, safe neighborhood, and convenient to all the attractions. The owners were extremely patient with potential reservation changes, and had great recommendations for the area--Cloudland Canyon and the Aleia restaurant in Chattanooga were awesome! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Quaint family cottage close to hiking
We rented the cottage for a weekend stopover to stretch our legs while driving south — it was exactly what we needed! We were hoping to spend less than a hotel would cost for our family of 6 and wanted to be out of the town and up in the fresh air. The owner was fantastic with communication and recommendations in the area — we really felt like her personal guest. We had a blast hiking Cloudland Canyon and then got take out from her son’s restaurant in Chattanooga. Would definitely stay again.

Best of both worlds!
The Cottage at Wayside was the perfect location for our family getaway. Close enough to the city but far enough away to seclusion on Lookout Mountain. There were so many things to do. Definitely recommend a visit and a stay here.

Perfect Little Getaway
The cottage was clean and cozy! It is in a wonderful location! My crew included my two teenage boys and three of their friends! We enjoyed the hiking trials close the cottage, Rock City, Ruby Falls, and the downtown area. Everywhere we went was a short drive with beautiful views! The boys enjoyed the fire pit and grill! It was a wonderful getaway for this crew and Gary and Patricia were perfect hosts!

Great Cottage In Great Area
We loved our stay at the cottage at Lookout Mountain. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The owners made every attempt to make sure we had everything we needed. They have a fully equipped kitchen so we cooked dinner every evening at the cottage. Full living room to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Internet service was great! Hot water for showers! This is a home-away-from-home! The property is great! Chattanooga area is just minutes up the road and we visited often. We were able to visit local coffee shops, local lunch spots, and find a place to hike everyday of our stay. Beautiful scenic drive and area to stay in. We appreciate the owner’s hospitality! Thank you!

Wayside Cottage Retreat
As the property owner suggested, she meet us at check-in. It adds to the excitement, she is great, showed me around a little, told me where extra household items were. Great location to Many nearby restaurants, attractions, activities. Loved our experience, history of property, I could not have been more pleased. We Will return!

Adorable Cottage close to attractions
This property was perfect for our family. It was close to the main attractions we wanted to see: Rock City, Ruby Falls. I wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were accommodating and generous. I highly recommend this property.

The first day we got there the owner told us they would meet us they live about 1 mile away... thought that was kinda of weird them meeting us there an walking us threw the house telling us the Do’s and Don’ts Which we knew what to do already.. owner also had who an how many were staying there on her phone when she pulled up in the drive ...there aren’t many cooking Utensils or cook ware .. but other then that it was okay . Really didn’t have much too do around

Great Cabin on the mountain!
Great cabin on the mountain! We had a great time in this house, it slept all 6 adults comfortably with the pull-out sofa being the most comfortable pull-out that I have ever slept on. The Host’s were very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again!

Very convenient and just right.
We had a wonderful stay at this cute little cottage style house. The owners are wonderful friendly people and were very accommodating. The TV is a Roku TV and we are normally pretty good at figuring out online things, but since we didn’t have a login we couldn’t use the TV. Honestly though, I appreciated the quiet! My only recommendation to the owners is to have a few more kitchen supplies and possibly some board games for the family. We will definitely be using this place again though! Our daughter goes to Covenant College and it is just around the corner… So this is very very convenient for us! Thank you for a wonderful stay Patricia and Gary!

Patricia was always available by text to any questions we had. She met us at the house. My mom, sister and I enjoyed the pretty house very much. It had a washer and dryer too. It did not have real time TV, so we could not watch the news. But it had lots of shows we could watch. We were there to visit my daughter at Covenant College 3/4 of a mile up the road. The house is near the road so we heard some cars going by with our windows open at night. This stay was much better than getting a hotel room. It had an upstairs area for sleeping and those who woke up earlier could go downstairs. It had two bathrooms. Over all stay was excellent. Five stars!!

Cute cottage on Lookout Mountain
The location of this cottage was excellent for going to Rock City, Ruby Falls (10 minutes at most) and Cloudland Canyon (about 20 mins). Also very close to Lake Lula and Sunset Rock and incline railway. There is so much to do within a very short distance. Our family had a wonderful time. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The internet/wifi and smart tv with roku kept our adult children entertained. It is very quiet and peaceful up on the mountain. I highly recommend this cottage for a family vacation. The owners are just a minute away if you need them and they are very nice. The keyless entry on the cottage was very convenient and there was enough parking for several cars.
