"The host was very warm and welcoming. I felt accommodated and all my questions were answered. The cabin was just right for traveling solo. Was a little put off by the fact of having the fridge and microwave in the bathroom and noticed that the front door didn't seal on one side so the cold air came right through making the room a bit chilly. "This hotel is beautiful, old style Adirondacks with cute rooms and great dining. While it is charming, the bed at least in the room I had was a springboard type of mattress you’d find at a koa camp. "Access to the Schroon River was nice to cool off in, but overall the rental was not worth the money we paid. When we first arrived, there was garbage left over from previous guest. There were missing pans, so we had to borrow a pan from the general store. This property listing was very inaccurate. It says there is heat, wi-fi, a dryer, air conditioning, and 2 bathrooms on the property, but in reality they are talking about the public restrooms at the general store 0.4 miles down the road which...

"This was a wonderful site that I would love to visit again. The river flowing by was so beautiful. I would like to stay again when we don’t have so much rain. The river was too raging for any swimming. The only downside was there was a bit of a steep walk down to the site from the parking area, but you do have to go downhill to be near a river."

"Our stay there was very nice. The best part about the entire trip is the river. We had three kids ages 9-12 and all had a great time playing in the river. The grounds were very neat while we were there. We were the only people around. It was so amazing not to have anyone around, the only suggestion is a deep thorough cleaning. very strong smell of mildew in cabin, other than that, it was an amazing time "

"Overall the online listing is a very accurate representation of the property. It has a very rustic cabin feel. The pond that you can visit is wonderful and well staffed and taken care of. My only complaint is there was no air conditioning in the apartment and it got very hot."
