Loved this location. Grocery store next door - easy drive to airport, Venice beach, Santa Monica, etc. perfect space to relax in and have a home cooked meal or pack picnic lunch for a day at the beach. John was an excellent host & very accommodating. Highly recommend this accomodation.

Great location, close to marina, stores and restaurants. Beautiful pool and hot tub area. Condo was immaculate although sparsely furnished. Kitchen very well equipped. King size bed very comfortable. Could use better lighting at bedside for reading. Would definitely stay here again. Very nice!

Great location base for our LA trip

Although the building is a bit of a maze as others have said, the directions provided worked great. The convenience of free parking and proximity to Ralph’s grocery were invaluable. The pool and hot tub were great added amenities that our boys enjoyed even though temps were high 50s. Great property, area, amenities and location.

This is a 10 out of 10 property. The location was perfect for me. Loved having the grocery store right there. The apartment was so nice, comfortable and cosy. It was just a bit chilly, so I enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings. The apartment was a good size and I didn’t feel cramped at all. I know everyone has their own opinion about beds but for me the bed was very comfortable. I had long days and the tub was wonderful to soak in. I would highly recommend this property and for sure would stay there again.

John's appartment is a great place to stay if you visit LA. It's close to the beach, you can walk, it's about 30 minutes. The appartment was clean. John was quick to respond to message. I strongly recommend!

We’ve spent a week in this apartment. It is very secure, and the kids love the pool and spa. The apartment was spacious for a one bedroom and the bed was comfortable. However, it needs some repairs ( store, air conditioner trap and sofa). The kitchen could have more equipments. The host was very responsive and this was much appreciated. They is a supermarket very close.

Fresh start

Apartment looked and smelled wonderful when we entered and yes we would love to come back here. The bed was comfortable and the airbed that our son used was very easy to use and also very comfortable. Yes, the garage is a puzzle but if you stick with the instructions, you'll get there.

Great place in Marina Del Rey

Overall impression of the apartment and location was positive. Close to grocery stores, food is walkable nearby, and it was great to have parking. Directions to and thru the parking garage by the host was spot on. Enjoyed the pool 2 evenings after long walking days of LA tourists. Very easy access to highways. My 4 star rating is based on the fact that the apartment was sparsely furnished. 1 mostly uncomfortable couch, and a table with 4 chairs and that is it for seating. Would be well to do with a rocking chair or a recliner or something to relax on. No color on the walls and 4 pictures/art in all the rooms. I would definitely stay here again given the choice. The local amenities outweighed the lack of comfort.

Very good value, kind host!

A few things… John was very accommodating and responded quickly to questions. When things weren’t quite right, he fixed it. The apartment is priced right (less than others in the area). Good value for what you get. If you are a picky renter, this particular building may not be your place. If you’re looking for value, with parking, this works. Balcony has neighborhood view and sun in the later day. Quiet (only once heard someone practicing their cello mid-day). Functional. I worked four very long days here. Personally would not have stayed longer for work because I would want a larger table/desk. Overall pleasant, highly functional stay!

Good for price

Pros: - Good value - Very walkable. Many places to eat, multiple nearby supermarkets, and the Marina. Capri gelato right across the street. - Comfortable bed - Clean - In unit washer/dryer - Nice pool and really nice exercise room. - Host responsive Cons: - The vertical blinds were missing a few slats - Sofa was not the most comfortable and furnishing are sparse. - You can hear traffic noise from Lincoln blvd. It's not terrible, and at night it quiets down quite a bit, but I can imagine light sleepers would notice. Summary: Overall it was a comfortable place to stay for a week. If I were to rate it similar to hotel class, it would probably be a 3-star, quality comfort with the basics. The area of Marina del rey and Venice does have its share of homeless, but the building itself felt very safe and we had no real problems walking around. Furnishings are sparse (a comfy chair in the living area and in the bedroom would be nice) and I think the sofa could use an upgrade, but the wife and I had a good stay. I would have no problem coming back again.

Did the trick

We were going to a wedding at the nearby Marina Del Rey Hotel and saved several hundred dollars by staying here instead, even with the hotel’s discount wedding price. We chose a deal over luxury and it worked out fine. We were comfortable here and it served as a nice little home base for our family of 3 during our 4-night stay. As guests have mentioned it’s pretty sparsely furnished but works for a couple or small family, and yes the parking garage is a maze at first but you get used to it and detailed map is provided. Unit is very clean and feels new, not dingy. This unit is part of a large (but secure and well-maintained) apt complex so you have to be ok with all that entails. We used the pool and hot tub a couple of times. Unit has little private balcony bistro table with decent view. Very convenient to LAX. Walked to Ralph’s for groceries and got doordash from Sage vegan and also ate at nearby Planta Cocina. About 20 minute drive to Santa Monica 3rd st promenade. Oh and due to flight delays we arrived around 2AM and that was a non-issue. Very responsive and friendly host via app messaging. Check out was super easy, didn’t even have to run dish washer or take out trash. Small feedback for improvement is it could use a full length mirror and additional living room seating such as a small armchair. Thank you for hosting us!
