We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully restored 1923 hotel. The location is unbeatable—right on the beach and just steps from great restaurants and shops. The historic charm has been thoughtfully preserved, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating throughout my visit. While the room wasn’t very soundproof and got a bit warm, these were minor issues compared to the overall experience. We stayed at Vurpilat in Hermosa Beach for a week, and it turned out to be a truly delightful surprise. The location is simply unbeatable: very convenient to all services, just steps away from restaurants, and most importantly, right on the beachfront. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who wants to fully experience and enjoy the beach lifestyle. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped with everything you need to feel at home. We had a wonderful stay, and what we appreciated the most was the kindness and helpfulness of the owner, Jay, who was always attentive and ready to assist us with any request. This made our experience even more special. We highly recommend Wurppiland to anyone looking to enjoy Hermosa Beach in a welcoming and well-kept environment, with truly outstanding hospitality. Loved our week at the Vurpillat! The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. Super helpful with parking and any requests. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we loved the vintage vibe. Some updating could be done but the imperfections add to the charm. We’ll be back!

I didn't know what to expect staying at a 100 plus year old property but I was pleasantly surprised. It's right on the beach and parking is limited-- but the staff parked our car in the side lot for a fee of $20. This wouldn't be a good location to stay if you are going to be in and out as the staff will have to move the cars. It's walking distance from the pier and lots of restaurants. The room itself was very clean and spacious, although the windows were a little wonky when we tried to open them. There was a fan in the room and the bed was really comfortable! Would definitely stay here again!

Besides Apple Maps getting us lost the place was great. Great location right on beach. Staff was all great really friendly and helpful. Even got us on site parking. Really helpful of a busy week at the beach. Place was showing its age but can’t beat the location on beach with many shops and restaurants all around.
