「Our room was fabulous. It was large, clean, had a nice shower, and best of all, had an amazing balcony looking over the lake. We also enjoyed the meals, particularly the breakfast and lunches made to order. The food was good and you can’t beat the views. 」

One of the best parts about our stay was the included breakfast and the dinner (not included) which was delicious! We thought we’d explore the island more for dinner but ended up eating at El Picnic because it was just that good. 「This spot was booked for our honeymoon. The lake town is vibrant and full of energy. We loved this establishment because it captured the beauty of the lake while allowing us to enjoy our time away from all the noise. The staff here made us feel fantastic and knowing they have a restaurant on site where all the staff get to know your name was fantastic. We went from town to town after our stay here and I wish we stayed in this hotel for the whole time. 」

「Really like this hotel. Beautiful view, off the beaten path a bit but still a not too far tuk tuk ride to town. More laid back than the fancier hotel next door but you can still eat there. Loved that breakfast and kayaks were included. Staff was really nice. Good value too. Staying here was like the best of both worlds with the convenience of staying in Panajachel but views being on the lake, especially if you only have a couple nights at the lake. 」

But when my group and I wanted to have more of an outing, San Pedro was a short ferry ride away. It felt so remote and convenient all at the same time. On top of that, one of the members in our group suffered from appendicitis in the middle of the night on our first night's stay here. We were so scared and the...
