This cozy, clean, peaceful home is located 1 mile from the Beech Fork Lake Marina, 1 mile from Beech Fork Lake and 2.5 miles from Sugarwood golf course. Take in the sweet sounds of the wildlife, the surrounding nature and country feel while being just minutes from I64 and downtown Huntington. Reconnect with loved ones in this family-friendly place or relax in this low key location after a day of taking in all the local recreation. Home is fully stocked! Driveway is a bit steep, ask about alternative parking if desired.

The place was clean and comfortable. The televisions all seemed to have different operating options with no info from the owners. We couldn’t find local tv on any tvs.

Overall it’s a nice enough place. We won’t stay here again but it’s certainly not bad.

Positives: - Outdoor fireplace - Location is close to beach - There is enough room to put a pac n’ play in the queen bedroom. A plus for us but not everyone. - Communication with the owner was fantastic. She even helped us coordinate an extra day in advance. - The interior is in decent shape. Clearly an older home. I do wish there was a little more cleaning of the cob webs in corners and the bugs out of light fixtures. Negatives: - The master bedroom window blinds leave a lot to be desired. Several slats are missing leaving you able to see in/out all the time. - The cold water doesn’t work right in the sink in the main bathroom. It only works when on maybe an 1/8 of a turn. Otherwise it cuts off. - There is a water hammer issue in the house. When toilets flush, washing machine is filling, etc it is very loud in the house. - Sound travels very well in the house. Don’t expect anyone to sleep while others are awake. - There is a bug problem in the home. Gnats everywhere no matter what I did. They were here when we walked in so it wasn’t our food. Some kind of beetle or something living in the oven button area (seen through the clock part). - The exterior is poorly maintained. The back patio retaining wall has fallen apart and is just laying there in pieces. Leaves and trash all around the patio edges. The grill was absolutely disgusting, tried to clean what we could but it was rough. The grill also was left with no propane. We filled it and left it for the next ppl.

Great family memories

Nice home very clean. Great location. Very quiet. Couldn't get the volume on TV in master to work.The grill caught fire when we tried to use it. We quickly put it out. Just needed cleaned. Would stay again for sure.

The stay was exactly as stated in the title. Just okay. This was my first time using VRBO & I reached out to the host & never heard back from her. We ended up being able to.get in but I would've like to have communicated with the host a few times during my stay. There were 3 remotes and we could only get 1 TV to work. That was in the bedroom with the bunk beds which we weren't even using. The driveway was very intimidating, this should have been stated in the description.

Country side view

We had a wonderful time. Got to see deer, squirrels, birds ,and visit the beach. Loved the place. Not to far for grocery store. Peaceful and quiet. Most of all I got to spend time with my son and grandson. Just relax and talked and ate. That’s what family time is.

Quiet hillside house with access to nature

We enjoyed staying here with young kids and taking trip to the near by lake (where you can rent a pontoon boat or other craft). Also an easy drive to Huntington and nearby sights like Holy Cross Hermitage. It’s in a very hilly area with a sloping yard and drive way. It was no problem in a minivan in the summer but you’ll want to be comfortable with windy roads and likely want 4x4 in winter. House itself has everything you need on one floor. Linens and beds were excellent with a cozy eating area and living room. Saw deer every night and really enjoyed the Beech Fork lake!

Not recommend

Did not stay at the property. Couldmt get ahold of host. Will not recommend vrbo to anyone. Unsatisfied with what we was told we would get are money back now your tell use we will not. This is a joke. This was not are fault. So not recommend to no one to go through you all.
