Great location, well appointed and warm. Really cold couple of days in Queenstown and the cottage was great (watching the snow fall). Comfortable bed and great shower. Excellant place to come back to after skiing. Great hosts

The flightpath of Queenstown airport was both noisy and amusing. It was good to finally get an accommodation that you could hang up coats, etc, but the closet only had 4 hangers...more would have been nice for our 4 day stay.

Great view and very private. All the amenities needed to self-cater and generally well equipped. Walking trails nearby. Fascinating watching the planes land and takeoff at nearby Queenstown airport and this was not disruptive at all. The view and scenery are worth it in themselves.

Private, spacious, warm with a stunning outlook over the Shotover River and ranges. We were delighted that we could see the lights on the Cadrona Ski Field from our room! Meticulously clean and fantastic ammenities. A short but scenic drive (10 mins) from Queenstown so perfect if you’ve hired a car. Can’t wait for our next trip here!

Great views, quiet location, modern well appointed unit. Quiet and comfortable. It is situated in a residential area so you must drive for shops, bars restaurants etc, but we were aware of this beforehand, so didn't bother us at all

The cottage was clean, tidy and warm. It had everything we needed for a week long stay. It is close to local amenities for shopping, walking and biking. Far enough away from the hubbub of Queenstown to enable you to see another part of this beautiful area. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage for your stay.

Quiet get away
We had a lovely stay at Shotover Country Cottages. I didn't realise it was so far out of Queenstown town but was very quiet and beautiful outlook. Was very clean. We would have enjoyed a couch or lounging chairs and also perhaps a small table outside to enjoy drinks and nibbles on the deck. Also there was no milk so couldn't enjoy a morning coffee to our liking.

Great views. Out of town so it's nice and quiet, except for the planes and Shotover River boats. Only negative with the cottages....they need privacy screens on the verandah so you can sit looking at the view without seeing those in the adjoining cottage doing likewise. All in all, a great place. Highly recommend it.

I like that the property had a lovely view, easy to park and close to all that Queenstown had to offer. I was not so thrilled that the flat next door had been rented out to a different party (unknown to us) so in the morning if you were sitting out on your deck it’s wasn’t so private. Maybe need some Screening so you are able to enjoy all the space.

The property was great with an amazing view. Loved that it was just outside the main city centre. Hosts were lovely and great with communication. We ran out of toilet paper but a quick phone call fixed that. Will definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Queenstown.

The view of the cottage is marvelous. Not too far from Queenstown, 6-7’ drive, which I think is better than living in the Queenstown city Centre.

Loved the quiet and convenient location, perfect for our snow holiday. Spacious cottage contained everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately hot water stopped working mid-shower and the water was freezing cold. Called for help and was promptly assisted allowing us to go to the next cottage to use the hot water there. Kettle was shockingly dirty so we used a pot for boiling water.

Excellent place to stay out of Queenstown. Quick and easy to travel to ski fields. Comfortable, good kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of space inside to relax.
