The room was disgusting. I’m convinced they do not clean the rooms at all. The mattresses were also smaller than the bed frame. Unsanitary. Also, the toilet handle was broke. When told the front desk they laughed. The hot tub was so over chlorinated, you couldn’t even get in. As soon as we got into the room and turned on the keys, our eyes were burning it was so bad. Do not recommend staying here.

Check in was fine. We get to the room and the fridge is filthy, then find dirty napkins in floor behind door, went to shower and hair on shower walls. Couldn’t find a room anywhere in town so had to stay here. There were little bugs flying around and flies. Pull out bed had huge stains and no blankets for it . To top it off I woke up with flea bites all over me. That was my breaking point so I let front office know and all he said was he would let housekeeping now.

The property is quiet and the carpet looks pretty new. I didnt smell any cigarette or marijuana smoke, that was great. Its definitely what you pay for. The restroom was dirty and had tiny dead bugs, hair, and dirt along the backside of the door. There was only one shower towel in the room. The bedding had burn holes and some stains, and the pillows had blood, which you could see through on the pillowcases. The sheets and pillowcases did seem like they were clean. It had a fridge in a microwave. The fridge had dog hair in it. There was a hypodermic needle in the parking lot. We didn't visit the pool so we don't know the condition of that. I had heard good things about the breakfast, but we went in and tried to grab some stuff and then just left and got breakfast somewhere else. The bread in the breadbox was stale. The egg patties and sausage patties were microwaved. The girl at the front counter was nice when checking us in and did apologize when she had to take a phone call to order her lunch from someone. The location of the the motel was convenient. There are restaurants and a walmart within walking distance. It was fine for what we needed it for, a cheap place to sleep. But I wouldn't stay there again.

The room I was assigned had not been vacuumed (chips, pretzels, dog food, and smaller crumbs throughout), the mattress was terribly stained, the walls were dirty, including what looked like blood on he bathroom wall by the toilet paper, the shower and tub had many long hairs on the wall and in the tub, and the phone was not even hooked up to call the front desk. The next day (I had gotten in late) I spoke to the man at the front desk (7/13 at 8 am) who stated he was the manager. He said he would get me a new room and call. I asked that, at a minimum, they vacuum the room I was in. He didn't call, have the room vacuumed or set up a new room for me. The woman who helped me in the afternoon immediately switched my room. The customer in front of me also was promised something by the same manager, who didn't follow through. Not following through, lack of ownership, and letting the issues fall to junior staff are my biggest complaints about my stay. I understand that vacuums break or staff aren't given the time or resources needed, but managers not managing is unacceptable. I will not stay at the Ashmore again.

Staff was helpful and nice. Rooms were clean (important to me), though quite outdated (less important to me). The clientele was the biggest drawback. I might consider another stay when traveling on my own, but probably not with my family.

We arrived and our room had cat hair on one of the beds so they had to change our room because I’m allergic. We had booked a room with two queen beds and they gave us a room with a king bed because that’s all they had available. They charged me twice on my card and the new room had the tub clogged up. I called downstairs to have them unclogged and it took forever. We had to get up very early so I unclogged it myself. I will not be staying here ever again or I will not recommend to anyone. I will be traveling to Lubbock but never again with them.
