The Eternal Peace Lamp was lit on 1 November 1986 by Prince Gyanendra to commemorate the International Year of Peace. The flame was brought from the UN in NY, NY, USA. It sits at the beginning of the park-like area known as the Lumbini Development Zone next to the Maya Devi Temple. The zone contains numerous Buddhist temples and monasteries built by various countries.

First thing first, it’s peaceful and clean. I don’t usually dine outside because I am very health conscious. I always try to book B&Bs because of the flexibility to cook your own food.
