"Single mother of two young tired children stranded outside the hotel until after midnight with insufficient door access codes. Very scary and traumatic experience. Expedia were a great help in contacting the property to assist me and eventually we got to our room. Our stay otherwise ticked the boxes. I never received the text message with door code and any emails they claim to have sent had gone to junk mail, so beware of this! "

Hence, this is more of a criticism of the platform hotels.com because we received an email that said the booking is confirmed and only much further down the email in small print did it notify that we needed to contact the property 24 hours in advance to make arrangements for access to property. Further down the line, it indicated only a phone number for special requests....

"No one at the reception when er arrived at 18:00. No sheets, no towels at the appartment. The swimming pool was closed for guest though straff members still were still swinging around. The straff members didn’t make any effords to try to conversate in English, Skandinavian or anu other of the western european languages. The didn’t seem to care at us at all. The surroundings were great and the conditions were all tights. Om dau time the straff was friendly and polite."

"Beautiful property, a little tricky coming at night and finding the correct entrance. Not enough lights in the dark. Not sure what time the reception closes. We were there at 8 PM and there was nobody around self check-in at the kiosk was easy. Checkout process was very easy Breakfast platter was nice and adequate although identical both days we stayed. But appreciated having breakfast available. Some form of eggs would’ve been nice. The room was great, very clean. The only thing I would say is the lighting was very dim- plenty of light fixtures, but the bulbs were not very bright, which was a little bit of an issue for reading other than in bed. The buildings themselves are absolutely beautiful and very traditional Danish. It was fun to stay at one of those places that we see so many are driving around the country. You are a little bit away from central town, but it’s not a big deal as long as you have a car free parking is plat down by the harbor We would stay again"

"The house is really quite small. It was fine for three people; it’ll work for four, but it gets very cramped with more than that. It’s a beautiful house. We felt very comfortable there. But the value for money is a bit iffy (about 1,700 euros for 10 days). The kitchen is a bit of a hodgepodge in terms of appliances, and the upper cabinets only open halfway because of the sloping ceiling. The bathroom is really small. The garden is very nice—there’s plenty of space to play and relax. And there are lots of blackberries to snack on. What was really inconvenient was that the description didn’t mention that the bedroom with the two single beds was in a separate little house. So one child had to sleep on a folding mattress. This should have been made clear before booking. It was nice that the beds were made up with linens, even though I hadn’t requested them."
