Everyone had a bed to sleep on, there was ample space for everyone to lounge around in and they supplied a great amount of cookware so we could make our breakfasts and dinners (pots, skillets, baking sheets/pans, etc). 「If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! The studio property was lovely for 2 people, very clean and the views were amazing. It offered the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on during a VRBO/hotel stay. Most importantly communication was amazing. A blizzard hit the area and were unable to leave on our scheduled day, the owner was gracious enough to allow us to stay until the weather passed. They even made sure we were comfortable and knew when local restaurants would be open. Cannot say...

「Family winter getaway. Spectacular views and great location on the upper part of the north shore. Loft is really great with bunk beds having limited room and access to the top bunk. Was a tight fit for our teenagers. Be prepared for morning sun in addition to moonlight. Special place in a special location.」

A few initial small glitches; however, Mr. Smothers was MORE than accommodating especially given it was Thanksgiving day. Pool was closed; however, the public pool in Grand Marais was open. A setting were several quiet walks with family was very relaxing and therapeutic! I HIGHLY recommend THE HIBERNATION HOUSE! 」

「Absolutely wonderful stay in Lutsen. Modern Scandinavian design that was truly so cozy and inviting. Kitchen and living space were perfect for our group to relax, cook. Large windows made you feel like we were really part of the beautiful birch and pine forest, wildflowers blooming. Two bathrooms was so helpful with little kiddos and adults running around. Beds were super comfortable. Only complaint we had was the AC Minisplit was up in the loft which didn’t circulate very well to the enclosed...

「We had an excellent stay here. The cabin is well designed, great space for a large group, with lots of sleeping options and nice views of the woods. Everything was clean and well stocked, lots of towels for the sauna, and quality cookware in the kitchen. The dining table was huge and great for board games. We got a really nice rate that was super reasonable for our visit too. I’d definitely book these again in the winter to enjoy the sauna to its fullest.」
